History

Bob "Bulldog" Briscoe was born in Seattle. His mother is Bernice Briscoe. Right from an early age he has liked the ladies in his life. He once discovered his father in bed with another woman and this started off a pattern of "love 'em and leave 'em" relationships. For his 16th birthday his dad bought him a hooker!

Bulldog started working in the radio business in 1978 and eventually started hosting the Gonzo sports Show on KACL, which for a number of years was one of the most popular shows on the station, with Martin Crane as one of its fans. In 1985 Bulldog met his girlfriend, whom he loved even though he often cheated on her and she only loved him because he was on the radio. Bulldog managed to interview various sports celebrities, although Mike Ditka once stuffed his head into a locker. He also once got 35 complaints about a comment he made about female umpires - a record he proudly held until 1994 when Frasier got 50 complaints about his show.

In 1991 Bulldog received the first of numerous SeaBees. He quit his show in 1993 after a row with the station manager (and this cost him his 8 year relationship. Since Bulldog was no longer on the radio, his girlfriend chucked him out!) but was quickly reinstated. In 1998 he almost won another SeaBee for "saving" Cafe Nervosa from a gunman (it was an accident). He left KACL that year as all the staff had been fired and moved to another station, but he got fired from there and so returned to KACL. His ratings sunk even lower and he was fired again in 1999, working for a while as a pizza boy before returning once again to KACL in 2001 working behind the scenes.

Personality

Bulldog is a womaniser, often boasting about his latest "conquests". We have only seen a few of his girlfriends on screen however. Bulldog likes weddings so he can "bag" the bridesmaids - "The uglier the dress, the quicker they want to get out of it." He gets his nickname "Bulldog" from the fact that he often "barks" at women he likes. Frederick Crane once asked him why he was called Bulldog, and Bulldog didn't seem to know. Maybe he does it so often he doesn't even know he's doing it. Bulldog has also been trying hard to get Roz into bed with him. He finally managed this in 1999, but they broke up after he got fired.

Bulldog thinks psychiatry is boring and he even once marched into Frasier's show just as it was ending and cut him off ("Blah Blah Frasier Crane Show Happy Health Goodbye!!!"). He is a loudmouth, compared to Frasier who is relatively quiet and calm on his show. His weaknesses are kids, which he loves as he was completely devoted to Roz's daughter Alice when he baby-sat, and lizards, which he is petrified of.

He is loud and brash, and liked to play sound effects on his show, such as horns, duck calls, gongs and donkey brays,

Bulldog hopes to get back to KACL as an on-air star one day, but for now he is helping Kenny behind the scenes at the station.

Bulldog is played by Dan Butler. He first appeared in Ep 2 "Space Quest".
