Plot: It's a week after "The Good Son" and Frasier is having problems with Daphne and Martin invading his privacy. He decides to let them know how he feels after his breakfast is changed and his paper is read.

Frasier finds it difficult to get some peace and quiet when he wants to read a book during the long day. He isn't very helpful to his callers either. Bulldog barges into Frasier's studio at KACL as he has to host his show there after a power cut meant he couldn't use his own studio; Martin and Daphne disturb him back at the apartment and Niles disturbs him at Café Nervosa.

That evening Frasier makes a final effort to get on with Martin. But when that fails, Frasier thinks that maybe it is time for Martin to go.

Subtitles: Dear God, It Wasn't A Dream; The Best Laid Plans...; A Coupla White Guys Sittin' 'Round Talkin'; One Man's Room Is Another Man's Sanctuary.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name: Mentions of Lilith and Frederick. Frasier also recalls the time he tried to commit suicide after Lilith left him by jumping off the ledge of Melville's, the restaurant above Cheers.

Trivia: This is the first episode written by Sy Dukane and Denise Moss. Eric the waiter appears again later on in the series when he dates Daphne. First appearance of Bulldog. Mentions of Joanna Doyle and Hester Crane.
