Skyline: The light at the top of the Space Needle flashes.

Plot: It's been a bad day for Frasier as he's had an argument with Roz. Martin's day hasn't been going well either because Eddie has a new favourite toy - a Barbie doll - and Martin thinks people may laugh at him. Niles takes them to the hospital where Maris is having a face lift.

Whilst Niles talks to the doctor, Frasier discovers that Martin's old partner, Artie Walshe, is in another ward. Martin and Artie had had an argument many years before and haven't spoken since, so Martin says he couldn't care less. They do meet, but the reunion isn't pleasant.

Frasier and Niles later hear the story of the break-up. It was one day at Duke's that the guys were watching a movie. Artie said Martin was crying. Martin said he had salt in his eye. However the other cops laughed and left tissues around for "Boo-hoo Crane". In retaliation, Martin said something about the size of Artie's wife, Loretta's bottom.

Frasier receives a 'phone call - it's about his car check-up, but he makes it sound like it's bad news about Artie. Martin says he doesn't care, but Frasier knows he really does. So it's a race down to the hospital to see if Martin and Artie can rebuild their friendship.....

Subtitles: Quick!!! Get Manila On The Phone; No Guts, No Gravy; Albuquerque Is Apparently 136 Square Miles; Well, We've Come This Far Without A Bedpan Joke.

It's Maris!!!: Maris is in hospital having a facelift. She is playing havoc with the nurses, and is convinced she is gaining weight from the glucose in her IV. To make his wife feel more at home, Niles places her revolver under her pillow and sleeps in a spare room across the corridor.

Roz loves..... Eli, a 19-year-old intern at the hospital.

Martin knows..... Artie Walshe, Martin's old partner. They had an argument and fell out.

Trivia: Mention of Duke's. Just in case you wondered about Artie, if you go right down to the bottom of the page you'll see whether he made it or not (so I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen this episode.) Martin buys Eddie a GI Joe doll to make him more "butch" (get it?) but when Martin isn't looking, Eddie returns to his Barbie. First appearance of the Barbie by the way.
