Plot: Maris is draining Niles in their divorce and poor Niles is having serious financial problems. She's repossessed his car and his salary isn't even covering his legal fees. Frasier looks at where Niles' money is going and convinces Niles to do something drastic to save money - give up his apartment in the Montana.

Niles moves in with Frasier whilst looking for another apartment but soon he drives Frasier mad by rearranging the foods in the kitchen and keeping him awake at night. This leads Frasier to miss an interview for another job, and he decides Niles has to go. Frasier and Roz discover that Niles has not been looking at apartments but has been going to the movies instead.

Frasier goes with Niles to make sure he picks up an apartment, but the only apartment Niles can really afford is the low-down Shangri-La. Will Niles cope?

Subtitles: Nuclear Family; The Late Show.

Trivia: Mention of Duke - he stayed in the Shangri-La during his divorce. Baby and Eddie receive a few mentions as well, although they're not seen. We also discover that Niles takes his own seat cushion when visiting the movies!!!
