Kate Costas was the boss of KACL during the start of the third season. She told Frasier that his ratings were good but could be better, and suggested "theme" days. When Frasier refused, she moved him to the early hours of the morning. Frasier manages to get his show back to its normal timeslot eventually. Later on, Kate denies the producers like Roz their 5% pay rise, claiming financial problems. The producers elect Frasier to be their spokesman after original choice Noel faints and Frasier confronts Kate. After they had a big argument, they suddenly turn and kiss each other!!! Next day Frasier and Kate felt anxious about their kiss so decide to cool off. But that night Frasier fills in for Floyd the Happy Chef, and during a news break Kate enters the studio and they begin cuddling. But they don't realise the news has finished and suddenly all of Seattle hear Frasier saying "Yes, I'm a bad boy.....You dirty girl!!!". Kate and Frasier's love affair continued, although it was mainly based on lust and the desire for sex rather than love. Despite Kate being on the radio with Frasier (see above) no-one found out who "dirty girl" was and so no-one knew about their relationship. Kate eventually accepted a job in Chicago, and at the airport she and Frasier finally realised they had little in common. Kate Costas is played by Mercedes Ruehl. She first appeared in Ep 49 "She's The Boss".Got any more information on Kate Costas? E-mail me gjthomas84@hotmail.com, putting "GNS Kate Costas" in the subject bar. |
