Sherry had been working at McGinty's for a number of years before meeting Martin Crane in 1997. They fell in love, but Frasier, Niles and Daphne didn't like her that much. They put up with her as she made Martin happy. Martin and Sherry were together for a while before Martin broke up with her in late 1997 as he felt guilty about loving another woman - he felt he was betraying his late wife. Thanks to Frasier, they got back together and she helped organise his 65th birthday party.

Martin and Sherry broke up again in 1998 after Martin wanted to get married but Sherry didn't. Sherry has a sister and her mom is in prison.

Sherry wears colourful clothes, lots of make-up and is loud, colourful and very, very outgoing. She lives on the fourth floor of her building and works at McGinty's. Sherry likes to play the banjo and collects tacky antiques, such a lamp of 2 frogs kissing! She likes to be the centre of attention but also has a calmer, more realistic side, such as when Martin broke up with her. She was devastated by this and went to Frasier and Niles for help. Sherry doesn't like to be tied down to a relationship (ie marriage) which may explain her 6 failed marriages, but when she has a boyfriend she cares for him deeply. Sherry can also dance, although whether she is a good dancer or not is unknown.....
