CARPE TENEBRUM

Astennu (vocals, all instruments)

Carpe Tenebrum is the solo vehicle for former Dimmu Borgir guitarist Astennu. The first album appeared shortly after he relocated to Norway and both it and the follow-up feature symphonic black metal with his then Dimmu bandmate Nagash on lead vocals. After he was fired from Dimmu Borgir, Astennu returned to Australia and has since worked as a producer and sound engineer and been a member of various Sydney bands including Infernal Method and Stronger Than Hate. Carpe Tenebrum's latest album is stylistically different to the previous two, leaning hard towards classic Florida-style death metal.
