Five Years in Five Days

By: Rina K. Fenderson

Day Four

Hisoka shifted as he sat on the cold metal of the lab table. He could feel its coolness through his, or more accurately Tsuzuki’s, jeans, and soothed his aching body. The night before and
following day continued to feel like a dream to Hisoka. He has no idea how many times they had made love, but his body was now protesting their escapades and he found it rather annoying that Watari chose the small period of time where Tsuzuki was actually letting him rest to ask him to come to the lab for more tests.

As it was, all the results said the same thing; Hisoka was fine, there was no threat to his health, and the chemicals were balancing out within him. Hisoka only half listened to Watari's lectures of his physical status, he was more worried that the sharp scientist would recognize the change in Hisoka’s behavior. He was sure the blond male was rooting for them as a couple, but the
thought of announcing their physical relationship made him hesitant. Especially when he wasn’t even sure that they would remain as lovers.

He was deeply in love with his partner, he could see that now, but the fact remained that Tsuzuki chose this time to seduce Hisoka and he chose this time for a reason. Hisoka was older, more attractive, it was clear that when he turned back to being the wiry little sixteen year old he, once was, that the dream would end and Tsuzuki would become even more distanced from him.

Thoughts like this brought his mood to be dazed and gloomy. Watari was beginning to become curious of Hisoka’s obedience and soft tone when he spoke, if at all. He brushed his long blond tresses out of his amber-brown eyes and leaned over Hisoka, his arms on his hips as Hisoka teetered backward on the table startled by Watari’s movement. "What’s wrong?"

Hisoka blinked his green eyes, then looked away his cheek blushing slightly. "Nothing."

"You have a habit of lying, bon," Watari said softly, then leaned back, his arms shifted to cross
over his chest. "But I can't do anything to help you unless you open yourself up to me." Hisoka’s cheek flushed crimson that the sexual condensation he picked up in that statement. His emerald eyes looked away and he shifted nervously. He didn’t notice the raising of Watari’s eyebrows, nor his parted mouth that was now growing into a smile. "My, my, Tsuzuki wasn’t lying."

"What?" Hisoka asked, his head snapping back to the older man, who merely smiled, then started when the door to his laboratory opened slowly.

"Watari?"

"Aa, Tsuzuki, speak of the devil."

"Eh?"

Watari smiled at Tsuzuki's innocent confusion. "We were just talking about you," he explained,
motioning to Hisoka, who looked all the more uncomfortable now that Tsuzuki was present.

As soon as Tsuzuki's violet eyes met the nervous emerald green a bright light illuminated in his eyes and he walked completely into the room. "There you are. I was worried, you left while I was asl--"

"Watari-san called me in," Hisoka countered, before Tsuzuki could finished his sentence, his eyes
shot to the ground an uncertain blush creeping up his neck. Tsuzuki tilted his head and glanced at Watari, who merely smiled and slipped in hands into the pockets of his lab coat.

Regardless or oblivious to his apparent want to keep the affair a secret, Tsuzuki moved over to him, placing his hand beside his thigh as Hisoka was still sitting on the high lab table, and leaned against his body, his mouth pressing against his neck, although to the common onlooker it
seemed as if he were only whispering in Hisoka's ear. "Don't worry I know you need a break."

Hisoka's eye blinked wide and he reddened even more, his eyes looked anywhere, but to Watari, who was smirking affectionately at the couple. Tsuzuki pulled back slightly andthen descended on Hisoka's mouth. Hisoka gasped and pushed Tsuzuki back, turning his face away at the same time.
The taller male looked at him in utter confusion and slight hurt. "Hisoka? Are you okay? What's wrong?"

Watari frowned, knowing exactly what Hisoka's fear was and wishing the boy wasn't so self-conscious and self-loathing. "Bon, don't hide who you are. Not from us." This caught his attention, his green eyes rose to meet Watari's smiling eyes beneath his wire-rim glasses. "We are your family now, besides most of us share the same tendency."

The corner of the blond hair boy's mouth twitched upward, his eyes flickering to the ground.
Watari blinked in surprise. Had he almost smiled? Tsuzuki seemed to slip into his usual whimsy once he saw the hint of a smile on his lover's face and stepped closer again. "That's right, I made a vow to myself."

Hisoka was now watching him cautiously, half tempted to jump off the table when the taller
male started to circle before him. Watari leaned back against another table marveling that Tsuzuki was finally taking initiative when he would normally leave his young partner alone when the boy got a look as the one his eyes were reflecting now. Hisoka never let his eyes stray from Tsuzuki's own amethyst depths, part of him pleading for him not to ask what his mouth was whispering, "What's that?"

Tsuzuki smiled; the gesture was far too mischievous for Hisoka’s nerves. He leapt down from the table and backed away, trying to fight the smile that was threatening when Tsuzuki made no move but to stare at him. It was quite a lustful leer, making Hisoka's pulse flutter and body rise in
temperature. Watari only watched, hands in the pockets of his white lab coat and eyes trained on the duo, widening when Tsuzuki vaulted forward, snatching Hisoka up by the waist, spinning him into his arms, then dipping him. "To make you smile more often."

Watari covered his mouth to keep from laughing and for a moment the elated chuckle he heard he thought was his own, but low in behold the younger blond had his arms wrapped around Tsuzuki's neck for support, his eyes bright and his mouth in a smile, the laughter his. Watari's eyes
widened and he stepped forward one pace, shocked at what had just happened. He had never seen the boy smile, let alone laugh. Tsuzuki could achieve such in just one night? Noticing then, the intense gaze the two of them were sharing, Watari felt a blush creep up *his* neck. He almost threw a fist up in the air and shouted victory when Hisoka lifted his mouth and took Tsuzuki's
voluntarily, his eyes closing in peace. Watari settled for a content smile and an inching step towards the exit. He only hoped they wouldn't break anything, as he closed his laboratory door.

~~*~*~*~~

It was quite, for the moment at least. They had made it back to Hisoka’s apartment before acting on their passions, leaving Watari’s laboratory just as it was, much to the owner’s gratefulness, no doubt. As soon as they entered the apartment though, all their respects and anything that hindered them were torn down or off and Hisoka’s wish for rest was long forgotten.

Now the moon hung bright, blue-white, in the sky, casting shadows over the bed they were curled up on, snuggled close under the sheets. Hisoka’s rested against Tsuzuki’s chest, nestled just under his arm, which was wrapped around Hisoka’s shoulders, Tsuzuki’s fingers brushing small
circles over his skin. He was content like this, his body wasn’t protesting to the exertion as much as it had before and he liked the feeling of Tsuzuki’s heart beat sounding in his ear, his head rising and falling with Tsuzuki’s breath. It was lulling him to sleep, as his eyes closed with a small contented smile on his lips.

"Hisoka?" Tsuzuki whispered, breaking the silence between them and the dream-like state Hisoka was weaving over himself unconsciously.

"Aa?"

"Why did you push me away today?" Hisoka’s emerald eyes blinked more alert and he lifted his head from Tsuzuki’s chest meeting his eyes. Tsuzuki went on without letting Hisoka answer, his concern and hurt making his tone slightly more pitiful than most. "Did you not want Watari to know? Are you ashamed of this?"

"No," Hisoka claimed, softly, not wanting to voice why he had done such that afternoon. Tsuzuki watching him as he slowly lowered his chin down to rest upon Tsuzuki’s chest. "I’m not ashamed of this. Something tells me the others knew this was going to happen long before I did..."

Hisoka paused, his green eyes flickering to some unseen distraction across the room. "It's new to
me that’s all. I was hesitant...but lets not worry about it."

Tsuzuki laughed as Hisoka shifted over him, straddling his waist and gazing down at him. For a
moment Tsuzuki merely let himself take in the angel-like creature before him. With the moonlight kissing his shoulders and the chasing the shadows from his features, Tsuzuki felt arousal washing over him. The lengthy silk-like strands of his honey blond hair fell over into his eyes that glowed with an unearthly light. The smile on Tsuzuki’s face was nothing less then dreamy, his
eyes laying his devotion clear, as his ran his hands up Hisoka’s built, lithe, body. Hisoka’s head rocked back, still in his sitting position, while Tsuzuki pushed himself up, trailing his mouth of Hisoka’s stomach and chest. He tried to ignore the look of pure admiration when Tsuzuki took in his body hungrily with his eyes, he tried to will his tears away at the thought he would
lose this. The warmth of Tsuzuki completing him, his smile against Hisoka’s skin, his heart beat to Hisoka’s ear. All of this would end, once he degraded to his smaller alter ego. He sighed, the breath escaping with a shake, collapsing into Tsuzuki’s embrace; clutching the older male as if were never going to let go. "Tsuzuki...aishiteru."

"Mou aishiteru, Hisoka," Tsuzuki whispered, pulling Hisoka down on top of him with a coy smile.
"We won’t be getting much sleep again, will we?"

Hisoka’s reply was a forced mischievous smile, "I never want the night to end..."
