Aurora update and modified headcount....

Talk of completion of a split that became known to us recently....

Today's installment in our little soap opera.... :-/
By mutual agreement, those in Aurora have enacted a complete split; that is, they have
emerged as four distinct individuals: Aurora13, Aurora17, and the two six-and-a-half-year-old
twin girls. As far as we know, the separation has dissolved Aurora16, who we believe was the
"neutral" part of them holding them together. Whether Aurora16 later appears as a
separate individual, we don't know. But for now it remains as the other four of them.
Aurora13 is the Aurora that's more familiar to us as such. We say this because we can trace
our awareness of her back to the earliest days of our co-consciousness. We didn't recognize
her as Aurora back then; rather, we saw her in others who came out before her. We now
understand this as Aurora13 pushing the others forward at the times they were ready.
Aurora17 is the one we previously believed to be Dare. She's only been known to us for a
couple of years or so. Aurora17 is the one who's kept all the secrets, and made Aurora13
and the Silent Kids do the same. It's not likely we'll be recovering this information
easily, if at all. We do believe both Auroras (and the twins) were born of the same split,
but nevertheless, our gut feelings, as well as Aurora17's track record, make us more
inclined to act in Aurora13's favor.
It appears to us that Aurora13 has been trying to break free from Aurora17 for quite some
time, perhaps for as long as those earlier persons appeared. But Aurora17 has had such a
strong emotional/psychological hold on her and the twins (and earlier, Nona and Deidra) that
Aurora13 hasn't been able to break free until now. It also appears to us that the two
Auroras' personalities are so different from each other that the stress of the two of them
being in such close quarters for so long has only exacerbated their problems.
Aurora13 is safe in her room in the house, and we're working with her slowly to help build her
trust. She's told us the names of the twin girls, but we have a feeling that one of the names
she gave may be a deliberate falsehood conveyed to her via Aurora17, so we won't announce
those names until we've verified both of them.
Aurora17 has returned to the isolated cabin she/they formerly occupied, and she has taken the
twins with her. She refuses to surrender them to the group at large, and they only feel safe
with her, so we're letting them be for now. But we have every intention of seeing that the
twins are eventually brought back to live with the group.
As for having two Auroras....well, Aurora17 also refuses to surrender the name. Besides
disputing Aurora13's status as the "real" Aurora, she wants to make the transition
harder for us. :-/ So we'll have to let this be, as well. For now.
