MIDI Music: "Everything I Do"
i am a christian and have been one for a long time. back in 1989, before we really
understood we were multiple, we came into the church, learned a lot, and were baptized at the
easter vigil. it was really awesome. :-)
what made me decide to follow christ? well, it was sort of a group thing, that is, a bunch of
us inside had been thinking about it for a long time and we knew in our heart it was something
we wanted to do. for me, it just means "walking the walk"....doing things the way he did,
treating people the way he treated them, loving god the way he loved god. i really don't have
to give it a lot of thought. being a christian is just who i am.
one my favorite things to do in church has been teaching the (outside) kids--i used to help
Charity teach fourth graders about the 10 commandments and the beatitudes. we taught for four
years until we stopped to take care of ourselves on the inside. i hope that someday we'll go
back to teaching again.
we also have some pretty cool choirs in our church. they sing old stuff and more modern stuff
too. we tried to sing with them for a while but we don't sing so great. :-)
another thing that was cool was helping the kids we taught in the nativity play. we also did
other plays at the end of the school year, and we were in another play every year during
lent.
