292. Deacon Josiah MACK
*(180) was born on 16 Dec 1693.
He died on 21 Nov 1769 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. In 1740, he made profession
of religion and so did seven of his children, the others made profession later.
His will was dated 26 February 1757 bequeathed to his wife Abigail 1/3 of all
his assests. He also named his sons Josiah, Elisha and John, and their heirs,
who each received 1/3 of all lands, all wearing apparel and farming tools, etc.
To his daughters Ruth, Sarah, Mary, Esther, Lydia, Abigail and Elizabeth, 12
pounds 10 shillings each, plus parts of his estate. Josiah was named sole executor.
The will was witnessed by "Jan'th Sweetland, Jun., Alexr Phelps and Thra
A. Phelps". He was married to Abigail PETERSON * about 1711.
293. Abigail PETERSON *(181)
was born about 1693. She died on 29 Apr 1767 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Children
were:
i.
Ruth MACK was born about 1713 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Ruth married 22
March 1739, David Porter, Jun. (b.1708, Windsor, CT), son of David and Anna (Phelps)
Porter. They had five children between 1740 and 1753.
ii.
Sarah MACK was born about 1715 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Sarah married
22 June 1738 to John Porter (b.1714, d.1762), brother of David who married her
sister Ruth. They had five children between 1742 and 1751.
iii.
Mary MACK was born about 1720 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Mary married 14
July 1706, Josiah Kilburn (b.1706, Glastonbury, CT., d.1793). They had six children
between 1742 and 1750.

Esther MACK was born on 22 Mar 1723 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Esther married
17 February 1744, Nathaniel Brown. They had 3 children between 1746 and 1751.

Lydia MACK was born on 22 Mar 1725 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Lydia married
10 February 1746, Samuel White, and they had 4 children between 1747 and 1757.

Ensign Elisha MACK(182) was born
on 25 May 1728 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. He died on 24 May 1783 in Hebron,
Tolland Co., CT. Elisha married 1 March 1750, Mary Ellis (b.27 Sep 1733, Plymouth,
MA, d. 23 June 1819, Middlefield, MA, daughter of John and Rose (Jennings) Ellis)
After Elisha's death, Mary m.2nd Ebenezer Seldon, 25 Jan 1787). Elisha was
killed by an Ox in Middlefield, MA, and his gravestone reads, "Ensign Elisha
Mack, d. May 24, 1783, age 55. Farewell my friends, Dry your tears, My dust lies
here, Till Christ appears". His wife Mary's gravestone reads, "Mrs.
Mary Seldon Relict of Mr. Ebenezer Seldon late of Middlefield, deceased, and
formerly the wife of Ensign Elisha Mack, departed this life in triumph of faith
in Jesus June 23, 1819, age 86 years, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord".
There were 16 children born to Elisha and Mary between 1750 and 1779.
