** Explanation of Group Play **

-Students will form groups of 4-5 students. Students make their own groups. Because there not many males in the class , we should try to distribute the male students evenly.

-Choose one of the 6 stories we read for this course. Each group will choose a different story. If groups choose the same story, we will do "Rock, scissors, paper".

-Transform your story into a short play(20-30 minutes). Here are some steps you should
follow:

1-Decide if you will follow the story exactly or if you will change the story a little(you can change the story
if you want, but don't change it too much).

2-Decide how many characters you will use in the play and who will play them(Remember that there must
also be a narrator). Also think about how many scenes you will have and what each scene will contain.

3-Start writing the play script. The script should be creative and original and written in modern English.

4-Have your first meeting with Glen and share your ideas with me. I will also check your script and help
you.(You will also give me Written Outline #1).

5-Make changes to your play and script using Glen's feedback.

6-Start thinking about which visual aids you will use in the play.

7-Start practicing your play together as a group.

8-Have your second meeting with Glen(Show me your script and give me Written Outline #2).

9-Make changes to your play using Glen's feedback.

10-Practice your play together as a group.

11-Perform your play to the class.(And give Glen your final play script).
