** Jigsaw Video:The End of the Affair Movie Activity **

 
   
  *You are going to watch a short scene from the movie. The class will be separated into 2 groups(A group and B group). The A group will stay in this classroom and watch the movie scene. The B group will go to another classroom and watch a different but very similar scene from the same movie. After watching the scene and taking notes on what you saw, the B group will return to the classroom. Then, a student from the A group will talk with a person from the B group to discuss similarities and differences in what they saw. Pairs then present to the class.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
     
   


 

   

 

   

1. Find a partner(one person is A, the other is B).

2. All A students stay in this classroom.
All B students go to another classroom.

3. Watch the movie scene once and try to remember everything that happens.
Watch the movie scene a second time.
Also think about why Sarah ends the affair.

Then, make notes about everything you saw( alone or in pairs) because you
will explain the scene to your partner later.[10 minutes]

4. B students return to the classroom and find their partner.

- Discuss with your partner in detail what you saw.[10 min.]

- Decide together:
What is similar? What is different? Write them on a piece of paper.
For example, how many people are there in the scene? Is it similar or
different?

Also, try to agree on why Sarah ends the affair. [20 min.]

5. Choose a presenter and prepare a presentation of your findings.[10 min.]

6. Speakers present. Others listen to compare with their own findings.
