1/27/02 - Been job hunting for the past week.  I decided I want to work in the automotive industry, most specifically selling cars.  I know what you are thinking "Oh no!  Grace is going to be a creepy car sales person!".  Well I have a personality glitch that will help prevent that from happening...  I am a horrible liar so I simply try to avoid lying at all costs which should reduce the whole creepy factor.  So this past Friday I decide to drive into Harrisburg and just stop at every halfway descent looking car dealership I see to ask if they were hiring.  It was pretty cool cause I visited 5 places and got 3 potential job offers and one place that isn't hiring wants to interview me anyways.  Scott says it is cause I have a nice ass.  Hopefully by the end of next week I will settle into the scary world of selling cars.

On another note Scott and I have been doing some brain storming on how the Aggressor front bumper should be painted.  We have come up with this wild notion to get a really cool custom flame job for the bumper and the front half of the car.  We have a couple of leads on places that do good custom paint jobs and next weekend we are going to be getting some estimates.

Oh and Scott decided against getting a new vehicle.  Instead he is going to take his Jeep Wrangler and get huge tires and have it lifted so it will be 15 inches higher than normal, a custom paint job and a really awesome hard top.  I just hope he gets at least 2 steps so I can climb into it after he is done.

1/18/01 - Lots of new stuff since my last entry.  The second week of December I gave my shitty job a call early Monday morning and told them that I quit.  Usually I would feel too responsible to do something like that but I didn't feel an atom of guilt due to my hating their guts for treating me like shit.  After that I started moving my things to Pennsylvania because Scott and I decided it would be better to live with each other to try something new out and to cut out the distance between each other.

Christmas was so wonderful!  My mom got me a set of Dunlop SP5000 tires, my sister got me nail polish and a $50 gift certificate to a cute clothing store which I redeemed right away, Uttara got me nail polish, a cute sweater, a Faith Evans CD and a shammi.  I hit the MOTHER LOAD with the gifts Scott got me!  He bought me 7 Urban Decay nail polishes, 5 Urban Decay lip gunks, Sex and the City the full 1st and 2nd season on DVD, a sun visor mounted CD holder, a deluxe paraffin spa wax bath, a very unique and stylish diamond necklace, and my favorite an Aggressor front bumper with fangs for my Eclipse!  I can't believe what an awesome gift giver Scott is!

December was really busy.  Uttara's birthday was December 18th and so we drove down to Maryland twice to go out to dinner and for her birthday party.  For Uttara's party, Scott and I got a room in DC.  Her party was at this restaurant and night club called The Ascot.  Everyone was running late and so Uttara asked Scott and I to get to the restaurant on time to hold the reservations.  I knew it was a majority black night club and as soon as we walked in we noticed we were the only people there who were not black with the exception of the staff, they were Indian.  I didn't mind being the minority since it happens to be that I usually am in most cases.  Scott on the other hand was a little nervous being the only white guy in the place.  It was so cute!  He handled himself really well though and I managed to get him drunk enough to get him onto the dance floor later that evening and dance with me.  Happy Birthday Uttara!

New Year's Eve was very laid back.  Scott and I invited his friends Jamie and Lori over and Scott made tons of good food.  I couldn't help due to a foot injury.  Right before it struck midnight we all drove down into town to watch the "Sled Drop" similar to the apple or ball dropping in New York City.  In Pennsylvania I noticed most of the towns like to "Drop" things for New Years.  A small list of a few other things that also "Drop" around here: a mulberry, a pickle, a goat?!

This week I finally finished getting almost all of my stuff settled in.  I have been spending the days working on getting the DSM Femme page updated and working on my own website.  Now that I am more settled it is time to find a new job.  For the past few weeks Scott has been looking around to get a new vehicle.  At first he wanted a Durango but last week we were heading out of town to do some errands when I look up to see a brand new, stunning 2002 Silver Ford Lightning!  I pointed to it and said "Ooh look at that!"  So we pulled over to check it out.  Scott is not a pick up truck type person but the Lightning is something different.  It was so beautiful!  We have been going around visiting Ford dealerships since then and have only been able to find 2 other Lightnings in black but none as pretty as the silver one.  Anyways I was observing the sales people at each of the dealerships and I kept thinking to myself.  I could do that...  The sales people were all men and most of them were old, fat, bald and creepy looking.  I think being a nice young female, who can be professional, unintimidating and show a genuine enthusiasm of vehicles would make me a better candidate.  I am bad a lying which would work against me but I think I can make up for it by being more genuinely honest.  Comments?  I will be applying to dealerships next week.

Last but not least.  Scott and I have been trying to save money by not going out so much but when we do go out we almost always use our "Entertainment Book" for meals.  Entertainment books are available for most areas and since we go out to eat several times a week we save lots of money using it.  Ours only cost $25 and we made up the cost after dining out only twice also it encourages you to try new places to try out.  It is mostly used to help save money dining out, usually the coupons are "buy 1 dinner and get the 2nd free", but it also has coupons for lots of other stuff too.  Don't worry I am not praising this book cause I have stock or anything like that in the company, I just really think it helps save a lot!

11/13/01 - So where the hell have I been and what have I been doing with myself you ask?  (Or don't)  Well I go to work all day.  This doesn't mean I actually work.  In fact I do the exact opposite.  I answer phones and maintain some of the office at where I work.  This equals about 1 hour of ACTUAL work.  The rest of the time at work I sit on the phone talking to Scott for at least an hour every day.  I also catch up on writing e-mail, sometimes reading a book.  I spend most of the time surfing the web and doing research on various things I don't really need to do research on.  You know like today I spent about an hour and a half looking through magazines that we get for free in the mail like Time or my favorite, National Geographic.  In them there are always websites they suggest you check out.  So in the middle of reading I will go to some of those sites.  Today I was checking out linens from India, Thai skirts, and the prices on what Shaquille O'Neal rookie cards were going for on eBay.

What else have I been up to.  Well the most time consuming part of my daily life now is Scott.  He is my obsession turned boyfriend turned obsession.  We have been seeing each other since September and compared to your normal relationship we definitely have taken a different path.  We talk to each other at least 4 hours every day on the phone.  You may think I am kidding but I am dead serious.  He lives in Pennsylvania exactly 99.6 miles away from where I live.  This is about a 2 hour drive in normal traffic.  My weekends consist of leaving after work on a Thursday or Friday to drive up to his place and spending the whole weekend there and coming back late Sunday afternoon.   Also he usually comes down from Pennsylvania during the middle of the week to visit me down here for the evening, then drives back home late at night.  Why do we put so much effort?  I don't know, I think we are just crazy.  Crazy for each other =)  We are extremely affectionate and obsessive with each other and although it seems a bit abnormal, I just LOVE it!
