Elizabeth Bridget McGrath
Hanson family about 1884. ``Elizabeth Hanson holding Katie, Will, Mary (seated) James Hanson holding Arthur. Taken Oct. 1884'' but that caption appears to be wrong since Katie wasn't born until 1887 and the girl identified as her is probably Laura (born Nov. 1884).
I have a
higher resolution version of this photo also.

Elizabeth and James homesteaded property
near Holly, Colorado and received the Homestead Patent in 1920.
James and Elizabeth (McGrath) Hanson were known as ``Pop'' and ``Ya''
to their Starbuck grandchildren. ``Ya'' got her nickname from
George's standing at the back door crying ``Yah, yah, yah,'' whenever
his grandmother ended a visit. The name stuck.
