Emma was the Drake registrar for 35 years. Her salary was roughly $1500/year. She also wrote the words for the Drake Alma Mater.

Emma also took over her father's Elimino Medicine Co. for a time, at least. She's listed with it as her business in the 1934 Des Moines city directory. She's also listed as a teacher in 1937. All other years, her occupation is Drake registrar. She still lived at 1332 26th Street in Des Moines in 1953.
