About Us
In Loving Memory of My Sweet girl, Grayce. I miss you and think of you every single day. |
Shabri's Southern Grayce "We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan." (Taken from a tribute by Greg Brocato in memory of Southpaw Sparkling Burgundy) Grayce, was our first weimaraner, I’ve always told everyone who has asked about them, that if Grayce hadn't been such a wonderful dog, there wouldn't have been a second, and eventually a third...Grayce was my watchdog, my companion and the welcoming party to rescues.
Grayce was bred by Sharon & Chip Bridges of Harrisonville, Mo. They currently own her full sisters, Fiver (Shabri Takes Five), Bitsy (Ch. Shabri's Bit O'Country Charm) and Bitsy's daughter from the PB & J Litter (4/28/01) Maggie (Shabri's Magic Charm) who I co-own with Sharon.
Grayce was showing in Veterans and training for her Tracking Dog title at the time of her death. At just past 7.5 years old, she was always excited and full of energy when the harness or show collar comes out and it was her turn. Her first weekend as a veteran the judge smiled after our go around and said, "She can still move, can't she!" Smiling, I answered "Yes." Showing was her thing, she loved being the center of attention!
We lost Grayce on Friday, July 11, 2003. She will continue to be loved and missed in our hearts. We'll miss her waggy tail and her ostrich head! Watch your plates up there, she's a master at run-by snatchings!
Grayce as a veteran
![]() After a long awaited 7th Birthday, Shabri's Sudlichen Anmut (aka Grayce) earned Best Veteran on April 18 & 19 during the Manhattan and Topeka Kennel Club Shows. Even at 7 years old, she still flew around the ring...she enjoyed herself almost as much as I enjoyed having her at the end of a show lead again! Grayce was Adored by her owner/handler, Toni Eichholz, Kansas City, MO. and was loved and bred by Sharon Bridges, Harrisonville, MO.
