The first time I looked in your eyes I thought you were amazing

and the second time we talked you started to drive me crazy

I never thought I had a chance so all i could do was dream

you didn't know then and you never will what you meant to me

and finally after three long years we went out on a date

you kissed me oh so sweetly and you took my breath away

and it felt as though i could've died in your arms right there with you

and it wouldn't have mattered a single bit because all my dreams came true.

and then you said you loved me it made me so happy i could've cried

but little did i know, soon that love would die.

but when you said those words i thought that i had died

it felt too good to be true i guess it was a lie

cuz then you called me up and said... "i'm sorry but we're through"

and i guess i must be crazy cuz i haven't stopped loving you

and ever since then i haven't wanted to ever go back to sleep

cuz i never want to dream again unless it's of you and me.

because it felt as though... in my heart.... that phone call put a knife

but really it just woke me up... from the best dream of my life.
