A BREEZE

By Meg Shaulis

Sitting there in your arms...

a little breeze rolls on through.

I take a deep breath, turn my head...

and I can't take my eyes off of you

The breeze kept on rolling...

the stars were overhead.

I knew I should say goodbye,

but I just stayed there instead.

So you held me there in your arms

until it was time to go...

I would've stayed there in that moment

in a storm of rain or snow...

because just to be there with you

underneath the moonlit sky

gives me a feeling like I've never known

and I don't know why.

You ask me what I'm thinking

and I don't know what to say.

It’s so hard to explain my thoughts

when I've never felt this way.
