Angels are beings sent by God to test to see if the human race is ready to evolve to a higher existence. In the Dead Sea Scrolls it prophesied that seventeen angels would descend onto to the earth to test human kind. The Second Impact was caused by one of the angels, when it self-destructed. Angels have many shapes including that of a Human and great big giants. Each Angel posses an AT field which prevents any physical contact from hurting the angel. The Evangelion where made to fight these angels. The angels power source is the red orb which is the S2 engine that Evangelions don't have. Angels are also able to regenerate body parts after a fight. Understand?....yeha I guess not. Evangelion is my fav anime but its confusing at times
