Al joined the CIA where Jason Wynn became his mentor. He first believed that everything they did was for the good of American Security but their actions were simply too bloody. In a routine mission Al was turned on by two of his fellow agents, Chapel and Priest. They opened fire on Al with laser weapons, burning him beyond recognition.      But his existence didn't end. At the moment of his death, he made a pact that he'd later barely recall. Though Al was an atheist he'd do anything to see his wife again and the Malebolgia took him at his word. In a split-second he was back to earth but as one of Malebolgia's Hellspawns, bound to a symbiotic uniform and infused with hell-born energy. Ok so spawn is the hero in...Spawn....but he is like an anti-hero is he is up here
