Image of the month
It is a known fact that everyone will have a
different opinion on which image is the best.
I am not trying to pick the best image, but picking an image that I personally liked.
I am sure that we will all agree on the fact that this is an excellent image!

I had pulled this image out of Jeri's group
for the Glacier National Park Special. My thinking was that she
had placed herself in danger to get an image again, just as with some Mountain Lions a few
years back. But alas, I can't criticize her after reading the facts printed below. So we
will just accept it as a very nice image that deserves a showing. Of course that's nothing
new for her! |

Avalanche Falls, Glacier National

This particular waterfall in
Glacier National Park is probably one of the most photographed there. It is a
relatively short hike through some beautiful dense woods. Some of it on
boardwalk. There is a wooden bridge over the falls and the view is quite
wonderful. Usually best with a tripod (aren't most) because of the dense tree cover.
It is a bit difficult to get a good angle on it and I usually end up hiking up further and
working with the upper fall. If you continue on this trail you come to Avalanche
Lake, small pristine and beautiful as well. --- Jeri Childs |
