1. Xiao Yan Zi
Xiao Yan Zi is definitely my favorite character! She is really funny to watch, especially the scenes when she's taking lessons. Xiao Yan Zi looks on the bright side of everything and knows how to have fun, which makes it easy to love her as a "person". Plus, how can a girl NOT be able to do martial arts?! She's very pretty too. The whole show just wouldn't be the same without her.
2. Jin Suo
Jin Suo is very loyal to Zi Wei, and that's why I like her a lot too. She always puts Zi Wei before herself. With almost all the decisions she makes, she thinks about Zi Wei first. That kind of loyalty is hard to find.
3. Han Xiang/Xiang Fei
Han Xiang is very kind, pretty, and dances really well. She is very different from the other characters and brought something special to the show. Who else has a natural flower-like aroma on their body?
4. Fu Er Kang
He is really kind and loves Zi Wei very much. Also, he is strong as a person. It was Er Kang who did all the planning, made all the decisions, and acted as the leader. Without him, they would be helpless. Plus, he's hot and really good at martial arts! ::winks::
5. Qing Er
I like Qing Er because she's really clever and helped Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei a great deal. She also put others' happiness before her own by giving up Er Kang.
6. Liu Qing & Liu Hong
Liu Qing and Liu Hong tie at sixth place. I like them equally well. They are both very loyal, good at martial arts, and obviously good cooks since they opened a restaurant! hehe... Friends like them are hard to find.
7. Xiao Jian
I think Xiao Jian is pretty cool because of three reasons. One, he's really, really, really good at martial arts. Two, he helped Xiao Yan Zi, Zi Wei, and the others. Three, he decided not to get revenge for Xiao Yan Zi's sake.
8. Ling Fei
I like Ling Fei pretty well because she cares a lot about Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei, and treats them like they were her own children. She's also very clever.
9. Yong Qi/Wu A Ge
Yong Qi is okay. I just don't really like him that much because (1)although he's an "a ge" (prince) and he's smart, he's not the leader type. When they were running away, Er Kang and Xiao Jian made all the decisions and did most of the planning. He was just a follower. (2)He gets too jealous at times. There was nothing between Xiao Jian and Xiao Yan Zi, and he actually said that Xiao Jian might be their enemy even after he had helped them so many times.
10. Sai Ya
I don't like Sai Ya that much, but I don't hate her either. She's Okay...kind of like Xiao Yan Zi. Sai Ya is definitely not as good of a character as Xiao Yan Zi is, but she's still too good for Er Tai (in my opinion).
11. Xia Zi Wei
I don't like Zi Wei really well. She's too perfect and too pessimistic. Her health isn't very good either, which lowers her values in my eyes as a wonderful character. Also, she's not as brave as Xiao Yan Zi. However, she is a good friend and a nice person.
12. Fu Er Tai
I liked Er Tai pretty well before I saw the TV series (I read the books first). He was really nice and always thought of the others before himself. BUT! The actor they chose was too ugly!

13. Xiao Deng Zi, Xiao Zhuo Zi (in the first HZGG), Ming Yue, Cai Xia
I think Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei's servants are okay. They are very loyal, kind, and takes very good care of Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei. Xiao Deng Zi is also really funny, so I like him a bit better than the others.
14. Meng Dan
The only thing I like about Meng Dan is that he cares so much about Han Xiang. BUT! He has a really hot temper and is too hasty in his actions. He's also a bit selfish at times. He only thinks of being with Han Xiang and doesn't think his doing so might cause Xiao Yan Zi, Zi Wei, and the others harm.
15. Empress
The Empress may be unkind to Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei, but that is only because she's jealous of them. And her jealousy was caused by the Emperor. So the fault actually really goes back to the him. Plus, she cares about her son and Rong Muo Muo a lot! Everything she did, she did it either for her son or the Emperor.
16. Qian Long
Qian Long is NOT good because he has too many concubines. He sometimes actually puts them before his own sons and daughters. When he found out that Xiang Fei was gone because of Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei, he wanted to kill them. Plus, he has a really bad temper. He doesn't think when he's angry, and always make really hasty decisions about killing people. Also, he killed the Fang family (Xiao Jian's family and possibly also Xiao Yan Zi's) just because of something they wrote. But, I do have to give him credit for caring about Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei so much.
17. Rong Muo Muo
I don't like Rong Muo Muo because most of the evil schemes against Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei were planned by her. If it wasn't for her always telling the Empress that she shouldn't give up on things, the Empress wouldn't have been that cruel. But I don't think she's all that evil because she cares a lot about the Emperess and Shi Er A Ge (Twelfth Prince).
18. Empress Dowager
I really don't like the Empress Dowager. She's not open-minded. She thinks that just because Xiao Yan Zi isn't perfect, she is bad. And just because Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei are together all the time, she thinks Zi Wei is bad too. She's also kind of selfish. The only people she actually really cares about is Qing Er and the Emperor, and thinks of them ONLY. She doesn't care how much the others suffer. And just because she knows there's no future for Qing Er and Er Kang, she felt no pain in killing him.
