What is Huan Zhu Ge Ge?
Huan Zhu Ge Ge is a Chinese TV series about an adopted princess named Xiao Yan Zi (Little Swallow), also called Huan Zhu Ge Ge (Returned Pearl Princess), and Emperor Qian Long's long lost daughter, Zi Wei, also known as Ming Zhu Ge Ge (Pearl Princess). The story is funny and touching, and is the most popular series all across Asia.
How did the story of Huan Zhu Ge Ge begin?
Everything concerning Huan Zhu Ge Ge was mainly done by Qiong Yao, a Taiwanese author. She wrote the books, the script, and chose many of the actors/actresses. The story of Huan Zhu Ge Ge began all because of a Gong Zhu Fen (Princess Tomb) in Beijing, China. From there, Qiong Yao found out that Qian Long (the emperor in the story) had once adopted a commoner as a daughter. Then she began to think: What if this adopted princess didn't like following rules? What if she was the emperor's real long-lost daughter? With these questions in mind, she wrote the story of Huan Zhu Ge Ge.
