Course Overview
The
German Language School Concordia is under the jurisdiction of the Waterloo
Region District School Board through the Adult and Continuing Education
Department and runs every Saturday morning throughout the regular school
year.
Kindergarten and Elementary Courses
Qualified personal teaches the elementary classes.
These
classes build knowledge, skills as well as
confidence
in the use of the German language to prepare
students
for the credit classes.
Secondary Courses
Certified teachers instruct the credit classes.
These classes
adhere to the guidelines of the Ministry of
Education of Ontario. The achieved credits are transferred to the high
school transcript of each student upon successful completion of the course.
Adult Courses
The adult courses provide an introduction to
the fascinating world of German language and culture.
Students can take courses at the beginner,
intermediate
and advanced levels. Upon satisfactory completion
of
these courses, a high school credit will be
granted.
Fees
Upon registration the school council levies
the following fees.
These fees are necessary to defray the cost
of extra staff, textbooks, teaching materials, teacher assistants,
office staff and cultural activities.
