Mascot trips for 2005-2006

We have just adopted a new friends into our troop.  Orleana Otter and Violet Cottontail has joined our Girl Scout family and are looking forward to traveling this year.  We named Orleana as  a remembrance of the destruction of Hurricane Katrina, which happened a week before we adopted her and Violet is violet!

We chose a otter, deer and groundhog for our mascots because they are native to Illinois and they were SOOO cute!

Our mascot friends have a fantastic schedule this year.  Much of our cold winter time, they will be spending in warm places.  Daisy Deer has left for Hawaii, then goes to southern California.  Florida, Washington, Michigan, and New York.

Orleana Otter is off to ENGLAND!!  She will be flying out shortly to visit 4th Cambridge Brownies, 5th Rainham Brownies, 1st Whittlesford Rainbows.

Violet is leaving next week for Australia.  Spiffy will be visiting us from the Artemon Guides near Sydney.

Daisy is off to visit Daisy Troop 85 in Pearl City, Hawaii in November, Brownie Troop 703 in (southern) Whittier, California in December, Troop 1442 in Largo, Florida in January, Brownie Troop 1451 in Kent, Washington in February, Brownie/Junior Troop 3490 in Lincoln Park, Michigan in March, and a Brownie and Junior troop in Courtland, New York in April and May.

We all want to squeeze in with our mascots' boxes and join them on their adventures!
