History
2004 Discovery Know as the Discovery 3 in the UK and the LR3 for export, this is the latest member of the Land Rover family; it has a hydro formed body and chassis with cross-linked air suspension and ABS with EBA and EBD. The V8 is derived from Jaguar engines and the V6 diesel has been developed with Peugeot, a V6 petrol version from the Ford stable is destined for US vehicles only.

Should anyone be reckless enough to take their new sparkling motor off road it still aspires to be an off road vehicle with is Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), electronically controlled locking differential, 4 wheel Electronic Traction Control (ETC) and hill descent control (HDC) as standard.

The spare wheel has been removed from the rear door and is now under the floor. The rear seats are raised stadium-style the 7 seater having a 3rd rear row. Access to this third-row seating is now possible through the side doors as aposed to the tail door.

Terrain response, four-corner independent air suspension with electronic cross-linking and variable ride height are optional but standard on all 7-seat versions. Taking its cue from the Range Rover this model seems to have electronic everything and cup holders to boot.

Although very much updated since the original Discovery it has still kept a hint of some of the original body styling. Just another 4x4 shopping car you ask, well the vehicle actually is capable of going off road, be it with a host of electronic gizmos.
