71.
In my childlike innocence, I have played
on your lap and Your smiles gave me
immense joy. I would enter your restricted
quarters and you gladly let me in. I always felt
secure in your trusting arms and comforting
presence, my love, O my divine Mother. As
the time went by, I did not realize that the
world of innocence was being replaced by the
world of culture where the boundaries of me
and you were beginning to get defined and
taken seriously. The demigods of reason and
guilt began to pry on me and I had to learn to
walk my lonely path, distant from you. Now,
I suddenly discover that these and other demi-
gods have been placed by You to pull me
away from all distractions and temptations and
to bring me even closer unto You. I am today
filled with the joy of knowing that You love me
so dearly and unconditionally that I can
always sit upon your infinite lap and see you
smile for ever and ever.
Is this what the pundits call Deliverance, My
Master!

72.
In my journey through life,
I have looked for the Truth that will set me
free. I tasted the pleasures of this World,
mistaking them for the Truth, but they showed
their fleeting nature and
I was repeatedly left cold on the street. I tried
looking for the Truth in aversion towards all
that I saw and found myself desolate and
empty. In an unexpected moment, you came
as a bitter pill in my life, putting my whole
being into convulsions and I thought
I was about to die. Only when its effect was
over did I realize that the bitter pill was Your
blessing in disguise, Truth coated in abuses of
distrust and hurled at me by my most
affectionate ones!
In that moment of awakening,
I saw the wings of Truth setting me free and I
closed my eyes in eternal humble supplication.

73.
Every journey has a beginning and an end.
It is the path that connects the starting point to
the end point. The path must provide the
inspiration, stamina and direction to enable us
to reach to the destination. Herein, lies the
efficacy and strength of the chosen path.Ê
An ideal path brings happiness from the
beginning to the end. A mediocre path brings
happiness either in the beginning, or the
middle or the end. A badly chosen path
causes pain throughout the journey and
afterwards as well.
O’ fellow travelers of this life journey, do not
fear the path but understand it. Avoid the
roads that bring crevices of pain. Choose
carefully your diet, your thoughts, your
actions, your friends and your objects of
service.
Each step of the journey is a significant one.
Always take your step consciously, fully
aware of its implications, because a step away
from the chosen path causes loss of time and
excrutiating pain and may sap essential
vitality.
May the path you choose be a blessing.
Your path is important to you and all others as
well. Your pleasures and pains are the
patterns of the cosmic-robe of the Universal
Mind and the beauty of the inner harmony
provides a pleasant context for every entity in
all of Creation.

74.
I was swept away by the mundane
vibrations, engrossed in the games of this
world. The play of my propensities had
clouded my love for You, O Lord. In the
madness of pleasure, I became oblivious to
Your presence. My little mind had begun to
gnore the Calling of the Cosmic Spirit.
In my feeble state, O’my Master, you came
as a thunderbolt, showing your rudra-rupa
shaking me completely. The arrows from Your
bow have pierced my mind, striking the
accumulated blockages and insensitivities.
To my pleasant surprise, I now feel a fresh
breeze of Your Grace entering the inner
sanctum of my being. The sound of your
sweet flute is now audible once again.
Your calling has begun to vibrate my entire
being. With a humbled mind, I open my eyes
and offer myself at Thy lotus feet. I am ready
to lift the veil of maya, the Cosmic Illusion,
that shrouds all beings. Let me continue to
serve You ceaselessly in all your forms, my
Lord. How else can I pay my debt of
gratitude to You, my beloved Master!

75.
The other day, I met one of my students
who has been living single for years but was
wondering if he should settle down with a
partner. He was concerned it would indeed
work and foster joy in the end.
My answer was, Dear friend, no relationship
can work if it is built on selfishness, a passion
to fulfill one s own needs without concern for
the needs of the other.
The lonely path has the joy of independence
and the freedom of letting our ego assert its
power in its restricted campus. It can allow
for the impulses to play their games on the
beaches of life without being worried about
reproaches from neighbors or loved ones! It
would be difficult to give up the solace and
pleasure and independence after having been
addicted to its pleasurable sensations even for
a short while. So I think your choice to give
up your peaceful life of living singly is fraught
with the dangers of ending up in a dreary
desert of emptiness, in the guilt of making the
unneeded choice of leaving the village in
pursuit of peace in town.
I wonder if tying the knot with another person
is what you really want in order to bring peace
and joy into your life.
Yet, before I discourage you completely, my
young one, let me also say this:
Your proposed life-partner just may be the one
to unlock the pleasurable sensations lying
dormant in your body of dreams. The touch
and caresses of your partner could bring forth
the melodies of joy like the rains after the hot
summer season. The physical intimacy that
you shun might just be the very longing that
you desire. So face it and transcend it by
embracing it with the conscious choice of tying
the knot with your proposed partner. Do not
be afraid of uncertainty. Let go of the fear and
transmute the world of uncertainty into the
certainty of the here and now. So, if you long
for greater peace and happiness in life, take a
short step forward and consider wooing the
princess of your dreams.
However, let me warn you my dear.
Partnerships are built on trust, on sacrifices,
on patience & concern for one-another. Do not
be rigid in your ways and be ready for
compromises, for adjustments at all times. If
your partnership seeks the fulfillment of all
beings, so much the better. The lonely road
may have the arrogance of peace but the
collective journey alone can deliver the joy of
genuine lasting peace.
May your choice be a celebration of joy and
not a denial of Truth. So do what gives you
and others the greatest joy and you will never
have regrets in life.,

76.
My young friend, you have asked me,
When is the right time to tie the knot?Ê
Let me say this:
When you cannot sleep without saying
goodbye,
When you are ready to go to any lengths to
find each other,
When you trust wholeheartedly and
unconditionally,
When you are unafraid to express your
innermost thoughts and feelings,
And when you are not shy to pull your dearest
one by the hand and to say, “I love you too
much, my dear. Hold me in thine arms
forever, my love. I am yours for eternity.
You will know that the time has come to tie
the knot with your most beloved friend –
and that would also be the moment of
fulfillment and freedom in Love.

77.
I twist and turn
but cannot sleep
and wonder, dear
what have you done to me?
Would you come
to tuck me in,
Or fill me with
your love Divine?
O Sweetest One
O Bliss Divine!

78.
The Fall winds
sever my connection
with the tree,
where I was raised
with love.
I am now one with the soil,
joining the crowd,
unnoticed,
forgotten.
New life begins,
colorful, fresh, and full of hope,
in service of others,
providing joy and happiness,
to those all-around.
Blessed am I
in my journey to the Infinite
to be drawn
eternally
with Thy compassion
and loving embrace.

79.
I have been waiting for You, my Lord,
hour by hour, minute by minute but I see no
signs of Your Coming.
The postman has passed by my door but had
no message from You.
The clouds are nowhere to be seen and the
wind has stopped blowing. Who else could
bring me the message of Thy coming?
I have even searched the cyber-space but
found no words from You.
Have you forgotten me completely?
Will I ever see You again, my Beloved!
How can I know if you are angry with me or if
my yearning gives you some joy?
If you truly rejoice from my waiting,
then let me wait and wait and wait for You,
life after life,
until You are soaked with the joy of my
intense longing.
Give me a glimpse of Thy Will,
My sweet Lord.

80.
If hearing your name, O Lord, gives me
so much joy then how much more glorious it
would be if I could remain in Thy physical
presence at all times.
Could I be permitted, my dearest one, to
hold the nectar of Thy sweetness in the golden
cup of my mind?
I would hold your pure love for eternity,
my lord, Life of my life.
