1.
In this garden of yours,
you have many flowers of different hues
and fragrances.
They look so beautiful and madden your spirits.
Some are only seasonal and will disappear as
the winter sets in.
I wonder if in the garden of
Your Mind, O Lord,
You will continue to keep a place for little me
and protect me from the cruel hands of the
seasons that want to take me away from
Your loving glance and affectionate embrace.
2.
The sky is darkened by wandering clouds.
They make rumbling sounds and send shivers
of lightning announcing their arrival.
The infant in me runs and hides in my motherÕs
bosom.
How foolish it is that I fear the rain of love
from the clouds heart and mistake its stormy
appearances.
The wandering clouds are my eternal friend.
I shall never be ungrateful to them.
3.
He came to see me while
I was asleep and when I awoke,
I found his footprints on my patio. I resolved
that I would never sleep again in my life lest I
miss again the chance to have a glimpse of His
effulgent body streaked with golden light.
Now I wait and wait and wait in the silence of
my awakening and if it be His will, I shall
continue to wait until eternity for my most
beloved one.
When will you come, O my sweet Lord?
4.
I knew that you were my mother in whose
bosom were hidden the pockets of kindness.
I knew that I could go to you at any time
and any hour and
you would smilingly pour out from your bag of
kindness and fill my empty heart.
Now I suddenly realize that I was mistaken
and
you are the eternal ocean of kindness in
whose depths lie the infinite milk of kindness
and
I feel contented to wait for
your call when you will bathe me with your
hands, anoint me with your love and send me
to distant lands to bring you the pleasure of
seeing your lost children.
5.
I thought that I had given all I had to
you, my honored visitor, but when You left I
found that my bag was still full and
I cried, Oh Lord, give me another chance to
give my all to You!
6.
You came like a sweet gentle breeze
In the scorching desert and filled my eyes with
tears of bliss but then why did you have to
leave so hurriedly? Why did you not take me
along and keep me eternally by your side?
I impatiently await your call,
O my sweet Lord. Night and day seem
empty for me in your absence. Do not leave
me alone even for a moment, my dearest one.
7.
O my Love, my heart is impatient.
So do not be surprised if it falls out.
If you do find it on your pathway,
please pick it up and bring it to the cemetery
where I reside for eternity.
8.
I left a little of me in your heart.
This little sprout needs no water but only a
little sunshine of your sweet love.
It needs no pruning and its fruits are
unbounded compassion and awakened self.
They grow in abundance and can be freely
distributed to the passerby
on this difficult road of life.
Let the hunger and thirst of humanity be
Quenched by our inseparable union.
9.
What holds you apart from me, my love?
Why are you so hesitant to explore my
fathomless depths?
Don't you know that I am the beginning and
the end and that
I have no beginning nor end?
10.
I knocked at your door and you opened it
with a sweet smile.
I was shy to ask you for alms and you did not
want to humble me by offering them without
my asking.
When I returned from your sacred abode,
I found that you had secretly filled the
innermost chamber of my heart with the most
precious of jewels. Now I look for how can
I offer them back to you, my Love, my Lord.
