Come, all ye brave laddies and lassies, and test your skills at the Highland Games! The Barony March of Mons Tonitrus is ready and willing to take on all challengers. Hardsuit and Rapier Tourneys will be followed by the Games. Games will include a Caber Toss (lords only), Tossing the Wellie (ladies only), and both ladies and lords will compete in the Clann War Cry, Stone Throw, and Farmer's Walk. There will be games for smalls ages 6 - 14. Smalls over 14 may choose to compete with the lords and ladies.
Site: Veteran's Memorial Park, Sierra Vista, Ramada #1. The park is on Fry Blvd at Calle Portal. After entering the park, turn left at the stop sign. Ramada #1 is at the far west side of the park, by the volleyball courts. Pets are permitted but must be kept on leash. Site is discreetly damp, period containers only please, and no glass.
Site fee: $4, with a $1 discount for members, cash only please. Children 12 and under free. Site opens at 9:00 A.M. with opening court at 10:00 A.M. Hardsuit and Rapier tourneys will be held immediately following court. A grill is available; bring your own meat for the grill and a dish to share if you wish. Site closes at 6:00 P.M.
