Unto the populace of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus do We, Mathias and Sarolta, Crown Prince and Princess of Atenveldt send greetings:
It will be Our duty and privilege to choose new Nobility for the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus. To this end, letters of intent from those wishing to present themselves as candidates should be forwarded to Ourselves; Susannah Martin, Kingdom Seneschal; and Their Excellencies Philip and Selina. the letters of intent need to be in by June 1, 2000. Please include in your letters a synopsis of the direction you would like to lead your Barony, and what makes you feel you are qualified for the task. Please also include a photocopy of your membership cards. Please find with this missive the appropriate address and polling requirements.
Mathias and Sarolta
The polling will be held on July 15, 2000 at Barmaids. The poll will be open from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. If there are more than two sets of couples vying for the task, there will be a second polling to determine the populace's wishes. Please be available in the event of a second polling.
Rules for voting in the Polling:
*Must be a paid member of the Society for Creative Anachronism.
Proof of membership is a member card, mailing label, bounce back card from the registry or zip code list.
*Must live in the zip code area of Mons Tonitrus.
*If you do not live in the zip code area but primarily play in Mons Tonitrus, approval must be granted by Mathias and Sarolta at least one week prior to the polling.
*Must be at least 18 years of age.
*Absentee polling cards will be available from Lady Kiara Wrynn, Seneschal of Mons Tonitrus and must be mailed to Susannah Martin not later than July 5, 2000.
