From Our Seneschal
Greetings!
April is upon us already! What happened to the first three months? I would like to remind all of the officers how important it is for you to get your reports to me by the officers meeting. The future of the Barony is in your hands because, as you know, if we don't make reports to our Kingdom officers we could lose our Baronial status. If you can't make the meeting, you need to make sure your deputies have the reports. Thank you.
    In Service,
    Lady Wrynn

From Our Arts & Science Champion:
Unto all the populace, Greetings!
The Baronial A & S competition coming up soon, and I know many of the newer members have never been to an A & S competition or entered one. Don't be afraid to enter; it costs nothing and is a lot of fun! The biggest drawback I have heard people mention is the need to do documentation. It isn't as bad as it sounds. You *don't* have to write a term paper.
At the A & S meeting on 18 April, I'll be teaching a short class on
documentation, including documentation for youth entries. A list of A & S
categories is included in this issue of the Thunderbolt, so that you can
have a look and see where your interests might fit in. So please plan to
attend the documentation class and ask questions!
Yours In Service to the Barony, the Crown, and the Dream,
    Lady Meadhbh

From Our Baronial Champion
To the populace of Mons Tonitrus and all who read these words, I send thee Springtime greetings,
I hope you are well rested from our victorious defense of the Kingdom of Atenveldt at Estrella War, for now it is time to turn inward and prepare for the coronation of their Highnesses, Sir Mathias and Lady Sarolta in Ered Sul May 6th. Also in Atenveldt's northern barony, on the first weekend in June,
is Highland War. This is not only a good chance to fight hardsuit, rapier and the elements (altitude and cold), but also to enjoy the mountains, the green, and the warmth of our hosts in the north.
Their Excellencies have asked for all who are or wish to be baronial guard
for a counting of those who wish to serve. Whether it be fighter or not, we
ask for your continued support to our fine barony.
In Service to the Barony, the Kingdom of Atenveldt, and the Dream,
    Ld. Marius Connor o'Connaught
