STANDARD DESIGN OF PIPE HANGERS  AND SUPPORTS

The Standard Design of Pipe Hangers and Supports (SDPHS©) can be used with 3 different programs: AutoCAD®, AutoCAD LT® and IntelliCAD®.

      The Standard Design of Pipe Hangers and Supports (SDPHS©) has two distinct parts. The first part has the objective of hanging, supporting and controlling the movements of piping systems. The second part has the objective to generate Computer Drawings of Pipe Hangers or Supports.

Part one of SDPHS© is a guideline to preliminary engineering and design of hangers and supports for piping systems, by simplified methods based on tables or Nomographs provided or referenced in the guideline.

Part two of SDPHS© contains a step-by-step procedure to create Drawings of Pipe Hangers and Supports by CAD, from a Data Base of about 500 drawings of various Standard Components. SDPHS covers a large variety of Standard Components of different type of Pipe Hangers and Supports. The Standard Components can be chosen from an Index - Catalog and then retrieved from the Data Base. The Bill of Materials can be completed and inserted in the Drawing with a simple and efficient method.

       The Drawings of Pipe Hangers and Supports will be completely engineered and designed, including the Bill of Materials and all information required for fabrication and installation. Also, in part two of SDPHS© is given a second procedure, which can be used for Typical Application of Hangers and Supports, semi-engineered, for small size field run piping. A Data Base with generic drawings of Typical Application Components is provided. The Typical Application Component can be chosen from an Index - Catalog and then retrieved from the Data Base. A generic Bill of Material for procurement in bulk is also provided.

•     Hard Drive: Min. available memory for SDHPS, 30 MB.

•     Video: 640x480, minimum;

•     Mouse: Logitech or similar;

• Software:

•     Windows 98 and up;

•     AutoCad®, release 12 and up, or AutoCAD LT® 98  and up, or Intellicad® 98;                                   

• Catalogs and Technical Data:

•     INDEX-SC Catalog and/or Index-TA Catalog, printed and bounded, available at request;

•     Catalogs of Standard Components of Hangers and Supports from  Manufacturers, for completion of Bill of Materials with specific ordering by Vendors;

•     Piping Stress Analysis computer output, if applicable;

•     Guide References, as required;
