The first official test cricket match was held between Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in March 1877. South Africa started playing in the Tests in the 1888-89 season. The West Indies joined in 1928 (?). Today international Test Cricket is played by Australia, England, South Africa, West Indies, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Zimbabwe.
