GEMBIRALOKA ZOO

One of the most pleasant things to do in Yogyakarta is to visit the zoological garden. Walking through a cool, lush garden where many of the Indonesian trees are represented while watching the many Indonesian animal species is sheer pleasure. In this Yogya zoo you can admire the Komodo Dragons there. These pre-historic animals attain a lenght of 3,5 meters and weight up to 150 kilograms.

Open: 7 days a week from 8.00 to 17.00.
Best time to visit the zoo is in the afternoon when most animals are fed.
