Dear friends,

We hope this letter finds you encouraged in the work of the Lord. Despite all the difficulties, we can say: Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. Lam 3/22,23. We had a good Christmas! We received a gift and we were able to give presents to each of the kids who came for our Christmas meeting. Soon we will start a youth meeting. Many of our kids are teenagers and they cannot identify themselves to the children. Several who attend have ringworm, scabies and boils. It is nearly an epidemic. We hope to be able to find some medical staff to cure them.

This week while Michel was doing visitation, he saw a 20 year old young woman sick and laying on her bed. She weighs about 70 pounds. She is dying of AIDS. It was a burdening sight to see her suffering and not being able to afford any medical attention. He prayed with her and she gave her life to the Lord. In Haiti, statistics say that 25% of the population is HIV positive.

In January, the Rocheleau family from Église Nouvelle Vie in Longueil, Quebec came to help us. They used their vacation time to serve the Lord. They painted the walls around our property and decorated them with some hand painted characters and some geometric shapes. Our yard has been completely changed! The kids send their greetings and want to say : MÈSI ANPIL! (THANK YOU VERY MUCH!) They did visitations with us. They learned how to go down and to climb the ravines like real goats!

WOULD YOU PLEASE PRAY FOR :
- Our visas. We want to buy a land and start building a church.
- A pastor to replace us. Some staff to help us : nurse, Sunday School teachers, musicians and worship leaders.
- Our son, Pierre, to receive a positive answer from one of the Colleges he applied to. Pierre will be leaving us in July 2,000.
- The four teams to come : one in February, one in April, one in June and one in August.
- Our son, Max, who suffers of a scalp disease and for our daughter Naomi who is still sick. We hope the Lord will heal them.

We want to thank you for your prayers. It is working. Our phone line is back after over six months of interruption!!! Thank you for your gifts. 70% of the population in Haiti is under the age of 17. Without your support, we would not be able to reach them.
