Background in theoretical physics:
I'm a largely self taught independent researcher (but I do hold an AS in physics at this time), whose research interest focuses on exploring the seemingly unbound nature of gravitation, while my former day job dealt with designing and engineering roof structures.  As having been a "working class" citizen, I'm not much on "science for expert sake," as the only time it benefits anyone is in the hands of people who can actually use it.  That is why I have made an effort to popularize new concepts in physics so that they can be brought into mainstream use [such an example is my tripod site "Warp Drive Today"].  And that is also the reason why my technical papers try to focus on applications of theoretical models, as opposed to doing work solely for epistemology purposes.  I have also done a number of reviews for public and private parties, regarding a number of theoretical issues. My research interest brought me into contact with people having similar interest, which led to the founding of the E Somino Ad Astra (ESAA) online group [previous discussions in PDF form are also available atpgletters.zip (549 kb)]. The ESAA group has in conjunction with Transtator Industries put out a peer reviewed journal, called the Journal of Advanced theoretical Propulsion Methods (JoAPM). ESAA as of this time is back to being a private research group interested in theoretical physics, for current status visit here.
