Eyeball Animatronic

This year I decided to change my Grim Reaper Animatronic into an Animatronic Eyeball. On this page, you could get all the details on how to do this...

I took my already made wood and PVC pipe frame from my Grim Reaper Animatronic and started assembling it for Halloween, which inlcudes putting on it's arms and sliding the fan into place. I then made a second eyeball out of paper machie. It was almost just like my Eyeball Door Hanging but without the wires going through, and a more green-blue color palate instead of a green-brown color palate. But the color really doesn't matter. What matters is that I made the eyeball big enough to slide over the front of the fan. I left the back part of the fan uncovered for the air to escape and not overhead and cause a fire. It was a tight enough fit that I didn't need to attach the eyeball to the fan with anything. I then moved the undressed animatronic outside, and put a bucket filled with water over the base to keep it weighted down and secure. I then took a strand of orange Christmas lights and draped them over the shoulders of the frame. I just had to be careful that there was no way of these getting into the bucket of water below. The final step was to dress the animatronic up. I took a blue cape that I once used for a Wizard costume and put it on backwards over the front of the frame. It looked great.

You couldn't see any of the animatronic's frame like this, but you could see pin points of orange light coming through, which gave a nice creepy look (these don't show up in the pictures). This, just like most of my other props, got a great response. No one asked how do you do that this year, but that was probably because they focused on me when I jumped out from behind a brick column on the other side of the side walk from the animatronic in a big Wizard mask, and scared everyone, and then started contact juggling, which got more of the responses such as "what is that?" and "what the hell?"
