The Hanover Mothers’ Center(HMC) is a volunteer, member-run organization. These committees, working together, are what keep HMC in operation. There is truly something for everyone and there is no limit to the amount of people serving on a committee. Steering: Meets monthly to discuss the general business of HMC. A member from each committee is present. All members encouraged to attend and share ideas.
Membership: Group organizes membership drives and open house. Maintains directory of current members and sends information to prospective members.
Publicity: Group gets the word out about HMC and our activites to attract new members. Creates and distributes creative marketing information into the community.
Newsletter: Group coordinates with all committees in gathering information, prospects for advertisers, collects fees and publishes the monthly newsletter.
Fundraising: Group coordinates all fundraising events.
Finance; Group handles the funds! Oversees disbursements, establishes budget, and maintains the checking account.

National Association of Mothers’ Centers Liaison: Group keeps us in touch with our national organization.
Mothers’ Center Historian Group keeps a historical account of important events within HMC.
Birth and Healing: Group coordinates support to fellow members when a need arises such as birth of a new baby, a member’s hospitalization, or death in the immediate family. Group links volunteers to members that provide everything from a home cooked meal to a sympathetic ear.
Speakers: Group contacts potential speakers for special events at HMC. Group coordinates location, fees, times, attendance and works with publicity to advertise event.
Discussion Group: Group facilitator determines topics, schedules events and invites members to discussion times. Facilitators research topics, create questions for open discussion and provide handouts.
