~Chapter 5~ So again we join Chrissy and Brian a few months later, and school's out. Melissa was trying to work her "magic" on Brian, only to have it all blow up in her face. And as always, Alyssa was right by her side. As for Chrissy, she had some really good girlfriends now, named Kim and Andrea. Brian was still friends with all the same people. -------------------------------- "Guess what my dad just told me?" Chrissy said while she and Brian were playing pool. "He's getting you a car for your birthday." Brian guessed. "I wish. Actually, he's going to a conference in London for two weeks, and then he's going to another conference in LA right after that. Oh, and get this, he's leaving next week." "So he's leaving you for a month. What are you going to do?" "Stay at home by myself. I can't stay with Billy since he's going to be out of town, and all of my family is all over the country." "I don't think so. I'm not going to let you stay by yourself for that long. You can stay here." "Brian, I can't do that." "Hey Mom," Brian shouted up the stairs. "Hey what?" She answered. "Chrissy's dad is leaving for a month and she's supposed to stay by herself. Can she stay here?" Brian went upstairs and Chrissy followed. "Of course. I can't let her stay alone for a month. The spare room is open, she can stay there." "Mrs. Littrell, you don't have to do that. I'd be perfectly fine alone." Chrissy said. "Christina, you're like the daughter I never had, and I'm not going to let you do that." She said. "Are you sure?" "Positive." "Ok, but you can put me to work around here. I wash floors, windows, cars, laundry, and dishes. And if you want, I can cook too." "Well, that's more work than Brian does around here, but you won't have to do anything." Mrs. Littrell answered. "Mom, if the girl wants to cook, she can cook right?" Brian asked. "Only if she wants." *Two Weeks Later* "Oh, Brian, I forgot to tell you that one of your cousin's is coming to stay with us for a week." Mrs. Littrell said to Brian. "Oh really, which one?" He asked. "Kevin." "When is he coming up?" Just then the doorbell rang. "Now." Brian went and opened the door and sure enough, Kevin was standing there. "Hey man, how have you been?" Kevin said giving Brian a hug. "Good, how about you." He answered. "Great. Hi Aunt Jackie." Kevin gave her a hug. "Hi Kevin, how was your trip?" She asked. "Good." Just then the front door opened and Chrissy walked in. She was startled to see the three of them standing right there. "And who might this be?" Kevin asked looking at her. "This is Chrissy, she's staying with us until her dad gets back." Mrs. Littrell said. Chrissy and Kevin shook hands. When Brian helped Kevin with his stuff, Chrissy asked Mrs. Littrell, "Are you sure that it's ok I'm here? I mean I can go while Kevin is here." "Chrissy, dear, when will you understand that you it's not a problem with you being here. I love having you here. You're like the daughter I never had. And I love the fact that you do more housework than Brian or Harold have done in their entire lives." Chrissy just laughed. "Now, I would go change before dinner." Chrissy looked down at her shirt. It was covered in paint. She worked at a local day camp, and the kids decided to start a paint fight today, which she got in the middle of. ~Chapter 6~ "What are you two doing still up?" Chrissy asked Brian and Kevin. It was 12:30, and she was on her way to the kitchen for a glass of water. "Watching The Rainmaker, do you want to watch?" Brian said. "Sure, but only for a little while. I am so tired." She sat down in between the two of them. After the movie was over, she said goodnight, and went to bed. Once Chrissy shut her door, the two guys started talking. "How do you do it man?" Kevin asked. "Do what?" Brian answered. "Stay cool with such a hot girl living with you. I mean, she even makes old college shorts sexy." "Kev, chill out. You have to remember that she's only 15, you're 20. And Chrissy and I are really good friends. She's practically my sister." "Brian, you do live in Kentucky though. Come on, tell me the truth, have you ever thought about you two?" "No." He paused for a second. "Yes, I have. But that was just at first. Then I got to know her, and I got over it." "Brian, you are one lucky boy. If I was 16 right now, oh man." "Shut up Kevin." Brian threw a pillow at Kevin's face. ~Two Days Later~ "Chris, what do you have there?" Brian asked when he noticed her coming up the driveway. He and Kevin were in the middle of a game of Horse. "A new camera my dad got me from London. It's so cool." She said. "Your dad's in London?" Kevin asked while taking a shot. "Yep, but only for one more week, and then he's going to LA." "That's a nice looking camera, it looks really professional." Brian said. "I know, he probably remembered my mom and I taking pictures all the time, so he got me a new camera." Chrissy added. "So your mom was also into photography? What didn't she do?" "Well, I don't remember her ever getting a tattoo, any piercing or sky diving. But she really wanted to take me skydiving." "Why do you keep talking about Chrissy's mom in past tense?" Kevin asked. "I lost my mom three years ago." Chrissy said sadly. "Oh, I'm sorry. I know how it feels. I just lost my dad last year to cancer." "I know how you feel. My mom died because of cancer too. As any way, can I use you two as my test subjects?" "Sure." Brian said. So Chrissy took pictures while the guys played a game. "You two are very photogenic." She commented, "So Kevin, what do you do in Orlando?" Chrissy was still taking pictures of them. "I work at Disney." He answered. "Really, what do you do there? Are you Mickey or something?" "Yeah, what do you do? You've never told me." Brian added. "I'm Aladdin." Kevin said, Brian just started laughing. "And that's why I never told him." "You are so mean Brian." Chrissy said. "So you ride on a magic carpet and sing "A Whole New World" all day?" Brian said practically in tears now. "Do you just perform in the parade, or do you walk around?" Chrissy said ignoring Brian. "I do both." He answered. "That must be fun." "It is." So the three spent as much time together as possible over the next week, and Kevin left for Orlando. "He was so nice." Chrissy said once Kevin's cab pulled away. Brian just laughed. "What?" "Nothing, it's just that he thinks that you are so hott." He answered. ~Chapter 7~ A year and a half later, Brian and Chrissy were closer than ever. Chrissy, Kim and Andrea were still friends. Melissa was still after Brian, Alyssa and Kyle started going out and have been for six months. By now Chrissy, Kim, and Andrea were juniors. While Melissa, Brian, Alyssa, and Kyle were seniors. "So, who are you going to take to prom?" Chrissy asked Brian while he was driving her home after school. "I don't know. Why do you ask?" He answered. "I was just wondering because this is your senior prom. It's supposed to be one of the best times of your senior year, besides graduation that is. I hope you pick someone special." "Well, if you put it that way, will you go with me?" "You really want me to go with you?" Chrissy was shocked. "Yeah, you weren't going with anyone were you?" "No, it's just, I'm surprised that you want me to go with you." "So, will you?" "Of course." "Great, I'll see you later then." "Ok, bye." Chrissy went inside and found the phone. "Hello?" The voice said. "Andrea, you will not believe what just happened." Chrissy told her everything that just happened. "That is so cool, now all we have to do is find Kim a date and we're set." Andrea said. "I know, but now I actually have to think about what I'm wearing." "Don't worry, that's what I'm here for." ~5 Months Later~ Well here it is, the day everyone has been waiting for, prom. Andrea and Chrissy found Kim a date with one of Matt's friends. Matt was Andrea's boyfriend. Matt, Brian, and Jim (Matt's friend) all met at Andrea's house to pick up their dates. "You really think I look ok?" Chrissy asked Kim and Andrea before they went downstairs. "You look great." Kim reassured her. "Chris, I don't think anyone could make their own dress and look as good as you do." Andrea added. Chrissy made her own dress, since she couldn't find one she loved. And her mom taught her how to do that too. "Ok, let's make some jaws drop." Chrissy said. "Now that's the attitude I've been looking for." Kim said. So the three of them walked down the stairs, and together walked into the living room were the guys were waiting. And Chrissy was right, their jaws did drop. "Andrea, you look, amazing." Matt said looking her over. "Thank you, you look great yourself." She said giving him a kiss. "Wow, Chrissy, you look, incredible." Brian managed to say. He's never seen Chrissy in a dress, or makeup before. And she has never looked better. "Thank you." She said. Andrea's parents took pictures of the couples and everyone individually. "Brian, who's your date?" Kyle asked. Chrissy let out a little laugh. "Kyle, this is Chrissy." He answered. Kyle, Alyssa, Brian, Chrissy, and a few more of Brian's friends all met for dinner. "Chrissy, you should dress like this more often." Kyle said. "If I did that, then times like this wouldn't be special now wouldn't they." Chrissy said. "Chrissy, I love your dress." Alyssa said. "Where did you get it?" "Well actually, I made it myself." "You made it? That's amazing." After dinner, everyone piled into a limo and headed for the prom. "Aly, come over here." Melissa said. "Hi, what's up?" Alyssa said. "Look at them, I can't believe he took her." Melissa said glaring at Brian and Chrissy. "I think they look cute." "I didn't ask you. We have to get them apart. And I know how." "Melissa, I don't want to help you." "So, when she isn't looking, we'll... what did you say?" "I said, I'm not going to help you. Christina is really nice, and I don't want to hurt her. Plus, you have to get over the fact that you and Brian broke up over two years ago." Alyssa started to walk away. "Fine, I don't need you." The next minute, Alyssa was talking to Chrissy, most likely telling her about Melissa. And from that day, Alyssa and Chrissy were good friends. ~2 Weeks Later~ "Hey, what's up?" Chrissy said when Brian came to her door. "Not much." Brian said. They started to shoot around. "Oh yeah, Kevin called me today." He said. "Really, how is he?" "Good, but he wanted to know if I wanted to join a group down in Orlando." "Wow, what did you say?" "I said I'll do it. But now I'm having second thoughts." "Why? You've always wanted to sing professionally, and this is your big chance." "I know, but I don't want to leave here." "What's here to miss?" "My family, friends... you." "You can always get in touch with us. It's not like we're going anywhere. Plus, when do you get a opportunity to live your dream?" They stood there in silence. "When are you leaving?" "A week after graduation." "That doesn't leave us much time. You graduate next week." "I know." "Have you ever seen sunset on the ocean?" "Yeah, why?" "Have you seen it while on in the middle of the ocean?" "No." "Good, then a bunch of us should go visit my grandparents in South Carolina. They live on the beach, and my grandpa owns a small yacht." "That would be cool, we could make a weekend out of it." "Then I'll call my grandparents." So Chrissy did and her grandparents said they would love to have them. Chrissy called Andrea, Kim, and Alyssa. Brian called Matt, Jim, and Kyle. ~Chapter 8~ The eight of them left after their last exams on Friday. They took Alyssa's and Matt's car since they were the nicest. It was around 10:00 when they finally made it to Chrissy's grandparents house. "Hi, Nana, how are you?" Chrissy said while giving her grandma a hug. "I'm good. It's so good to see you again." "It's nice seeing you too. Hi Papa." She gave her grandpa a hug, and introduced everyone. Since they drove all day, they went to bed within an hour. "Now this is the life." Alyssa said while she, Kim, Andrea and Chrissy ate breakfast on the deck. "Morning." Brian said while the rest of the guys followed him to the deck. "Morning." The girls answered. Once they finished eating, they headed for the beach. They stayed there all day, but got out to have dinner and get the boat ready. "If you boys don't mind," Chrissy's grandpa said, "can you help me launch the boat?" "We'd be glad to." Kyle answered. "And we'll clean up Nana." Chrissy said. "So tell me, what's the situation with the boys?" Chrissy's grandma asked while they were doing the dishes. "Well, I'm going out with Kyle, Kim's with Jim, and Andrea's with Matt." Alyssa explained. "Oh, what about Brian and Chrissy? They are the only single one out of all of you." "Well, we tried to get then together, but Chrissy is just so stubborn." Andrea said. "She got that from her mother. She was twice as bad as Chrissy." "Is that possible?" Kim said. "You all are so funny." Chrissy said. Ten minutes later, they were all done with the dishes and the boat was launched. "I'll be below deck if you need me." Chrissy's grandpa said. "So Bri, when you become rich and famous are you going to get a boat like this?" Kyle asked when all eight of them were lying on the deck of the boat watching the sunset. "I'll get one if I become rich and famous." He answered. "Why are you so negative about it?" Chrissy asked. "Brian, you never know what's going to happen." Alyssa added. "You're right, I just don't want to jinx anything." Brian said. After the sunset, they headed back to the house, and left the next day. Brian, Alyssa, and Kyle graduated a few days later. Finally it was time for Brian to leave for Orlando. "I can't believe you're leaving." Chrissy said. "I mean, every thing we expected to happen isn't. You were supposed to go to UK, and we could see each other when ever. Now we don't know when we will see each other again." "I know, but Orlando is just a day's drive away. I just hope I can see you graduate." Brian said. "Since we don't know when we get to see each other, I just want to know, what did you think about me the first time you saw me?" "If you really want to know, I thought that you were a lonely, cute freshman that could use someone to talk to." He answered. "Really?" "Yeah, so what did you think about me?" "Well, I thought that you were just a guy that thought you could get some from a freshman." "That's what you thought?" "Yeah, I mean think about it. I was the new kid, and here comes this cute older guy and starts talking." "Ok, that makes sense." Just then his flight was called to board. "I'll be right back." Brian went to say good-bye to his parents. "So, I guess this is good-bye." "For now." Chrissy said. "For now." They hugged, and Brian said, "You know, we never did try dating." "You're right. How about if we are both single when we're 25 we'll try." Chrissy said. "That's sounds good." Brian gave her a hug again. "I'll miss you." Chrissy started to cry. "I'll miss you too." Brian gave his parents one last hug and left for the terminal. Chapters 9-11 Chapters 1-4 Back to Fanfic Back to Main Page |
