On router 42, as you leave the town of Delaware, and right before the Sherrif's Department, there is an old bar on your left, named Loon's Saloon . It's brown, really close to the road and damned impossible to find unless you know where it is.
I remember it being open when I was a teenager, but I have never been in it, although I know a few people that have. They said the reason they shut it down, is that a few people were ed there.
It seems likely, since it was a biker bar and there were always fights. One of the victims was the husband of a woman that was having an affair. After the husband was released from jail on a DUI (or some other alcohol related charge), he went to the bar to meet his wife, have a few drinks then head back to their place.
When he arrived, they embraced, kissed and started slamming the drinks. When he got up to relieve himself, Mr. Affair knocked him over the head and he along with a few other co-conspirators pulled him outside and went to work on him.
The murder was especially brutal, although details are sketchy.
It's said that late at night if you stop by the bar, you can hear glasses clinking, followed by a wet crunch and a heavey thud.
Then silence.
I didn't stay as long as I'd liked, but since I was pretty much across the road from the Sheriff's Department, I didn't want to push it. While I was there, I didn't see anything, but I did feel some apprehension, which can be explained by several factors.
Let me know if you can confirm the above story or shed some light on the history of this bar.
