The really bad thought of being labeled an ‘extremist’ is most relate it to mean a ‘radical’ with extremely negative connotations, such as belonging to ‘right’ wing, militant, and other groups meant to destroy the American way or, at the least, disrupt their quiet, fall-into-line, let’s-obey-the-government lives.
Granted, I do want to disrupt their lives by convincing them of the truth rather than the bull crap coming out of politicians’ mouths. True, I do want the media to be prevented from manipulating people’s thoughts (applies to those who do actually think occasionally or not at all). And, true, I would like to cause as many as possible to think for themselves based on the principles of this nation.
But, are these goals bad? And, more important, do these goals rely on one being necessitated to belong to some group?
The answer to the last is simple. The last group I belonged to was a rock group in the early 70’s. The only other group I ever belonged to was the Cub Scouts - and only for a short time. I am just not a group person.
I study the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, Supreme Court rulings, constitutional and civil law, tax laws, federal regulations, structure of government, political entities, education, law enforcement, the judicial system, and all printed matter I have time to read and study on my own even though there are many times I wish I had help.
I do get help but it is from web sites I have determined to be accurate by verifying every bit of information written and used as evidence, along with correlating the information contained within them with one another. As the best sites state - don't believe everything you read without checking it for yourself.
Also, I try to verify what I read concerning politicians across as many sources as I can locate. I strive to find publications, whether online journals or what, which print only the truth and leave personal biasing out or at least make note of the potential of possible bias. This keeps getting harder, though, as it seems just as with the corruptibility of government, the power of the pen is corruptible.
It does get quite lonely but who else wants to watch me do as I do night after night, day-off after day-off, with the motivation that drives me? And why would I want to prejudice my own thinking with people who might be responding to near oxymoron beliefs which often color true radicals and fanatics?
I certainly don’t. I only want to use what I read of them and other topics in making eclectic decisions for myself.
In my opinion, those who do not stand up for their rights as delineated in the Constitution are the (with all the negative connotations) ‘extremists’ in that they are totally outside the sphere of freedom our founders fought and died for. They belong to an extremist group, the group of Americans who continue not getting involved in the wrongs done to them by government.
Their fear holds them together and few will break from the group since it does entail great personal risk. I have broken from the group and now am (I suppose) an extremist in their controlled, “unwilling-to-get-involved-in-their-own-governing” minds.
To my great sadness, most of these are people who believe we live in a democracy rather than a Republic. Most do not know of the effort it takes to maintain a Republic, nor would they give the effort if they did know. Thus, they slave nearly six months a year for the government rather than for themselves and their families. And they believe they are free because they
vote once in a while.
The truth is they relish in the government making decisions for them rather than deciding for themselves as to what is right or wrong. True, they gripe but gripes usually fall on deaf ears since gripers are concerned only about their own gripes and continually think of what they are going to say next. And, surely mere griping does nothing to improve the condition of the Union of States, nor their own well-being.
Because of this, this nation as an accepting society of others who are different has evolved little as a self-actualizing nation made up of people who respect other people for what they are. Thoughts concerning this are manipulated by government and mainstream media as it would be detrimental to government to have all the nationalities and peoples making up this nation as a unified whole. Division serves the government’s purposes, while unification does not.
Hopefully, I will be a part of a group one day, a group that causes government to be limited as stated in the Constitution while praying it will be done without violence or malice. The best scenario is that it is instead accmplished because of reverence for the Supreme Law of the Land and its correlation to the Laws of God.
But, requiring violence or not, the shoddy, illegally applied laws made in the past by federal legislators with the intent to control the American people rather than obey their own oaths of
office and defend the principles this nation was founded on must be done away with. The Constitution must once again reign supreme in preserving the liberties of free men.
Until constitutional principles do reign in supremacy, I will continue to do as I do on my own with little, if any, support other than that derived internally from my own thinking and the
occasional kind word from readers.
Well, time to get back to my ‘extremist’ actions of understanding the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the corrupted governmental structure of this nation.
