What The Mirror Saw

I looked at her
Unrecognizable was her face
Innocent eyes of a child
One that had been disgraced
I look inside her eyes
Into the darkness where she lived
Only to find it full of pain
The kind that had been ignored Deeply etched in blood stains
Were the clothes she wore
They have killed the new born
I looked at her reflection
It was not me
I looked inside the mirror
To see a woman no longer a girl
A woman am I
A child is she
So wrapped up in memories
She cannot be set free
Alone she lives inside
The reflection of her mind
For on the outside
I am the victorious one
I am free and alive
What the mirror saw
Was a lie
For how could it be
That I am with in her
With my own personality
And she with hers as well
We are completely different
For in the end we must be twins
My friend, open up your eyes
It is time to see
That the woman is you
The child is I
What the mirror sees
Is only a lie.
