Wayne Co. Farmers & Breeders Registery
| Elizabeth Patience Northern
| My nephew found in his box of Auction Books a worn copy of the
Wayne Co.
Farmers and Breeders Registery. It lists farmers, sec. twp. name of
farm , wife maiden name, children, own or rent, name of owner, date
farmer settled in the county. Also names of farmers who breed purebred
livestock - cows, hogs, chickens, goats, etc. There is also a list of
who owned automobiles and the make.
I will share this geneology material if anyone needs a lookup.

Wayne Co. Diary |
Frank L. Myers
| I have recently acquired a copy of a diary written by a Wayne County
diarist and covering the years from 1885 to 1917. I do not have the
diarist's name, but I suspect that it is John T. Byerly. The diary
covers activities in Jackson Township and relates to a church referred
to as Pleasant Hill. Some of the repeating surnames are BYERLY,
RUMMEL, McLANE, MILLER, MYERS, SHIDELER, WILLIAMS, BOWMAN, WAMPLER, ELEBARGER,
LANNERD and WISSLER. There are many others.
I have transcribed the genealogical entries from the diary into 14
pages using Microsoft Word. The entire diary has one page for each
month (33 years x 12 pages) or nearly 400 pages. Before I go any
farther with this project, I would like to communicate with Wayne
County family historians who may be interested in the "Pleasant Hill
Diary". I can probably dig out the information I need in more
traditional ways, but this seems to be the best way to get a "hit"
fast. If you are interested in this project, send me an e-mail and
let me know what you want and how you can contribute. I envision
sharing my work on this project for the cost of postage and paper.

Wallace Family Records |
Martha Lee Wallace
|
I have a copy of the Family record of John Wallace 1895: with sketches of the history of previous generations by
Josephine Wallace privately published at Milton, Wayne County, Indiana, 1895. The family arrived in
Milton in 1812. They descended from William Wallace who immigrated to Albemarle county, VA in
1730.
I would be willing to do look-ups
