Dear Editor,It's always so nice to get a new issue of your paper. So many of the papers these days are full of stuff about Iraq and Clinton that it just makes me ill. I still can't believe, after more than 200 years, we are going to lose a president over a zipper. Yes, I know it's so much more than that - all the lying and what not, but really, why did he lie? Because he couldn't keep it zipped. I guess it also makes me angry to think of all the money Ken Starr spent to prove the man can't keep it zipped. Yes, people lied, but then, they're all politicians - do they really expect us to believe they can define, let alone find, truth? Now people are running around worrying about Gore - well perhaps he's smart enough to keep his zipper up when there are witnesses. Seems to me that is the only real qualification anymore. ![]() We had such a nice Christmas! I just had to write and tell you that despite all the harried, frenzied preparations and travel, it sure is nice to be with family and watch the faces of the little ones. My only real concern is how so many families are so far apart anymore these days. The kids do enjoy the holidays, but they end up so tired and stressed from being so far from home. My wish for the New Year is that more and more families begin to realize how nice it is to have family and start making arrangements to be nearer to them. We live only a few hours from family, but this time of year makes even that seem too far away. Thanks for letting me sound off on this Homebody Dear Body, Methinks you said it all! |
