Thanks for coming to learn more about me!
I'm 29.999999 years old.lol I've been married for over 17 years to a wonderful man!!
We met while he was stationed (Navy) here in New York. A friend and I were "witching a well" when he walked up the driveway. That was in Aug 1982, we were engaged in late September and married on February 5th, 1983! NO ONE said it would last... hehehe I think we've proved them wrong, don't you?
You're invited to read his opinion pages (he can gripe and complain all he wants there)!
There's a more detailed page, called Lifemates that you can visit about our meeting and more if
you'd like.
On his Nov. birthday of 1986, I gave my husband a great birthday gift...
The news that he was going to be a daddy!
I was (finally) pregnant with our first child, a daughter we named Genesis (there went another
"myth" about why we got married so quickly, the "shot-gun" thing).
Genesis was born in the summer of '87. Her conception proved many doctors WRONG, military and civilivan alike. :) She's such a great kid, you'll have to read her page here and visit her previous site.
We're starting a new one for her soon and the link will be replaced then, so check back!
I've also got a best friend that I refer to as my sister. Mary. You may have seen her pages here.
If not, please visit and learn more about our special friendship.
So that's my day-to-day family. Jim (Cat Skinner) and Genesis (Lil'Bit) and our "zoo".

My favorite color is PURPLE! And with black, it's my favorite color combination.
Not everything that I own or wear has to be purple. It's just that I love the color, every hue, light or dark.
I don't work anymore, so to occupy my time, I spend alot of time on the computer. I used to be on
several local area BBSs and I even ran my own for 6 years, until the web took over. We started out as
adult only but then added general things to the menus. Our daughter, with our help, was the "sysop"
of the general side, where the children's games and messages were located.
We would hold a party several times a year. Either a picnic or in our home. The largest party ever was
one we held in our home. People from CA, TX, & MI came, as well as local people. We put everyone up
in our home (we have a 4bdr, 11 rm home, we fit everyone nicely).
At midnight, it turned into a "Pajama Party".
The rule was, if it was after midnight and you were here, you had to be in your jammies!
It was alot of fun! It was great to meet so many of the people face-to-face that I'd only written to for years!
Everybody really let their hair down, believe me!
Besides the computer, I collect Pewter & Gem Faeries, crystals, I have some Beanie Babies (I'm not
a die-hard collector of those though) and I enjoy antiquing. I garden in the summer and I'm a hermit
in the winter. (you know they've actually a name for that "condition"? *lol*)
I also adore animals for all types. From the scaley, slithering critters to the long-haired fluffy type! I have
a pet page about what we have right now. Of course that can change anytime since I like to go to
the local animal shelter and visit and play with the "inmates" there.
They have painted on their walls "Spaying and neutering doesn't hurt them, NOT doing it DOES!"
Alot of the animals had been there at least a week now; their time is dwindling if they aren't adopted
soon.
If you can't be a proper pet owner - get a goldfish, or better yet, get a Pet Rock!
There are many places that will 'fix' and offer all the shots your pet will need for free or at a reduced rate. Look into it. They depend on us to help them live.
If you have any favorite animal links, personal, or for their welfare, please send them to me. I'd like to include them in a future page. Thanks!

I usually hang with people who are the same in their thoughts *~*AND*~* their actions. I've also met some great people who were vastly different. I prefer people who don't hurt others on purpose or to
cover their own tracks to avoid getting into trouble.
This hate of people, their life choices, and the abuse toward animals, is absolutely INTOLERABLE!
I pride myself on be able to accept anyone's choices.
Even when I was startled by their revelation, I maintained my "poker face".
A "look" can scare people into claming up, or they think you don't accept them. My friends will never be made to feel that way. They have enough trouble with society accepting them.
I'm their unconditional friend.
I've hung out with people of all choices (hey, that's kinda catchie!); all sexual orientations, TS/TVs, all religious beliefs, satinists included... you know what I mean.
But nobody fools around with a child's life, an animal's life, the freedom of choice, OR my family.
I'm like a tigress defending her babes when it comes to those issues. If you've read Mary's page,
you've seen how we've always protected each other. I'm a very loyal and devoted person.
Hey, that's not such a bad thing, is it? *lol*
I also have a fondness for anything EYES. You may see alot of eye sets here along with angels and fairies and clouds/skies. I've always looked into peoples' eyes when I speak to them and I've found they
tell alot about a person...
I have gold eyes with a few flecks of green, and I scry, mainly with crystals and other stones, hence
the handle ScryingEye. It's also partially the reason I chose this background set, entitled "Third Eye"
My husband drew eyes for me to use when showing www pals that had asked because it's so hard to explain the color. They're often thought of as a cat eyes drawing, especially since my husband goes by
Cat Skinner and I've used CatsEyes as a past alias.
I was told that my eyes are the color of what long ago was termed as "Witch(ing) Eyes". I guess certain issues were determined for me at birth! *lol*
I also go by the handle KIRBY. My husband gave me the nickname in 1984 when we got a CB.
It stuck through running a BBS from 1991 through early-1998 and into the WWW world.
I kept the handle just the same for the "other" part of my personality. I even went so far as to get a tattoo
with the name "KIRBY" put on me in 1992.
So, I guess I'm officially an un-official Kirby (human).*LOL*
"Often imitated but never duplicated...."

Please continue your tour around my pages, and those of the links I've provided on my links pages.
There's some great folks out there just waiting to meet you!
Picture pages will be added soon so check back!

I was SO thrilled to see this webring existed!!
Ever since I'd turned 30, *sob*, I'd always said I was 29.9. I'd add on another .9 for every year after that.
While reading a page on this site, my daughter was aghast that I'd admitted the "thrity-" words.
She said "MOM! Are you ok? You actually wrote your REAL age??? What happened to 29.999999?!?"
Then today, I asked her if I should join this ring... she rolled her eyes and exclaimed "DEFINATLY!!"
Let's see.. I'm 29.999999 now and soon I'll be adding another 9. I think I'll just start over pretty soon. LOL
Besides, you're only as young as you feel, and I feel pretty darn young!
If YOU refuse to grow older just because the Laws of Nature say you have to, then join this ring!
