Charline ALEXANDER, 78, a retired Employers Casualty Company sales secretary, died Monday at home. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Charline Alexander was born July 11, 1918, in Cleburne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton "Aler" H. Alexander. A.V. ATKINS, 85, a retired salesman for Case Cutlery, died Friday in Pensacola, Fla. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Mr. Atkins was born May 11, 1910, in Nocona. He was reared in Nocona and married his wife there in 1936. They moved to Fort Worth in 1942 and in 1945 he opened the A.V. Atkins Saddle Shop on Exchange Street and for many years made custom saddles and boots. One of his saddles is on display in the Cowboy Hall Fame. He retired in 1986 from Case Cutlery after 20 years of service. For the past year he has lived in Pensacola, near his son. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie D. Atkins in 1993. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Jayne Atkins of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; sister, Lona Brand of Nocona; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Jill and Jeff Graves of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Jana and Mike Greco of Mobile, Ala.; great-grandson, Ross Graves; and several nieces and nephews. Eray Troy AVERY, 82, a retired building inspector for the City of Fort Worth, died Sunday at his son's residence. Funeral: Noon Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Mr. Avery was born Sept. 18, 1913, in Garza, Denton County, to Samuel A. and Nova Ethel Avery. He served in the Army during World War II. Mr. Avery was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a 32nd-degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was an honest, loving and devoted father and grandfather, and will be missed by all he knew and loved. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Burnett and Allman Avery, and two sisters, Ruth Glassman and Orine Rutherford.
