Julie grew up in San Jose and spent much of her life in competitive
swimming, including four years on the women's swim team at USC and two years as a member
of the United States swim team. She met Casey while both were working in Los Angeles,
and they moved to San Diego shortly after their marriage. A CPA, Julie worked in both public and
private accounting before becoming a full-time mom.![]() |

Jerry was raised in Erie and attended the University of Detroit, where he met and married Sandy. After graduating in 1958 with a degree in engineering, he went to work for Boeing in Seattle. He later moved to California, working first at the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory and later at the United Technologies Center as a member of the Saturn V solid-fuel rocket program. He and Sandy have six children, and have lived in San Jose since 1962.![]() |

Charlie was born on the Gott family farm near Austerlitz, New York. In 1913 his family moved to Erie, Pennsylvania, where he met and married Marie. They eventually raised seven children. Marie passed away in 1990, and we lost Charlie at age 99 in late 2004.![]() |

John was also born on the Gott family farm near Austerlitz. He met and married Mary in Connecticut, where he was studying the electrical trade, before returning to New York. They had eight children. An employee of the New York Central Railroad, he moved his family to Erie in 1913 and died there in 1934. |

Harvey was born and lived on the Gott farm. He and Ella were married in Spencertown, New York, and had two sons. He died in 1929, and the descendants of his oldest son still live in the Austerlitz area today. |

At the age of 12 Story joined the Continental Army as a drummer
boy and served side-by-side with his father and older brother during the Revolutionary War.
At 14 he joined the infantry, serving until 1782. In return for their service, the three
Gotts received land grants in the Austerlitz area. Among this land was the parcel that would
become the Gott farm. Story lived on the Gott lands, and he and Polly had fourteen children.
He became a deacon in his church and lived until 1841. Family legend has it that the tale of the three Gotts was passed down through the generations and eventually was heard by Archibald Willard, a well-known painter and member of the extended family. He later immortalized them in the famous painting "Spirit of '76". ![]() |

John was a veteran of both the Revolutionary War and French and Indian War. He and Ann had five children. They moved to the Austerlitz area in 1775, and he died there in 1796. |

John moved with his parents and sister to Hebron, Connecticut, when he was a child. There he met and married Eleanor, and together they had six children. |

Records indicate that John and Elizabeth married in about 1685, when he would have been only 13 years old. At the time Elizabeth would have been 19 and was already a widow, having earlier married Jonathan Tarbox. John and Elizabeth had two children, the first born in 1695, and moved to Hebron, Connecticut, in about 1704. He died in 1761. |

Daniel married Mary Morice in January of 1665, and Elizabeth in November of the same year. He and Elizabeth had four children, all born in Wenham, Massachusetts. He was a deacon in the Puritan church
and also the constable of Wenham. He died in 1675. |
Charles Gott Born March 12, 1598 in Brokenbury, England Married Gift Palmer on October 30, 1625 |
Charles and Gift and their two young daughters sailed from Weymouth,
England, on June 28, 1628, aboard the "Abigail". They landed in Salem, Massachusetts,
on September 6, 1628. The passengers of the Abigail were Salem's first settlers, and in 1635 Charles
was made a deacon of the first Puritan church established in America. Gift apparently died in about 1636, and Charles married Sarah Mansfield, with whom he had three children. He died in 1668. |
