8. Joseph HOWELL III (Joseph4, Joseph3, John2, John1). Born in 1717 in Anson County N.C. Joseph died in Cabarrus County, N.C., abt 1866; he was 149.

Joseph married Sylvia ROBINSON. Born in 1773 in Montgomery County, N.C. Sylvia died in Cabarrus County, N.C., in 1853; she was 80.

They had the following children:
i. Mary (Polly). Born in 1796.  died in 1884.
ii. Elizabeth. Born in 1798.
iii. Isaac M.. Born in 1808.
iv. Archibald H. Born in 1808.  died in 1894.
v. James M.. Born in 1813.

9. Isaac HOWELL (Joseph4, Joseph3, John2, John1).3 Born on 24 Dec 1784 in Cabarrus Co.,NC. Isaac died in Cobb Co., GA, on 9 Nov 1860; he was 75.

On 21 Nov 1805 when Isaac was 20, he married Margaret TUCKER4,3, in Anron Co.,NC. Born on 25 Oct 1789 in Cabarrus Co.,NC. Margaret died in Cobb Co., GA, on 7 Sep 1873; she was 83.

They had the following children:
i. David Holton. Born on 1 Oct 1806.
ii. Malinda. Born on 14 Nov 1808.  died on 26 Jun 1833.
iii. Jiney(Jessie). Born on 1 Aug 1811.  died on 9 May 1895 .
On 22 Dec 1836 Jiney(Jessie) married James M. FOSTER.
iv. George  Born on 15 May 1814.  died on 14 Jul 1815.
v. Michael Silvester. Born on 28 Jul 1816.
Michael Silvester married Elizabeth R. REDWINE.
