bullet Mr. GARDNER was born about 1770. Butler, I have a couple of Chief Pushmataha's children but
some of them come from internet genealogies I found. Three
of them are on documents where they sold some of their
land in the 1820-30's in Holmes County, MS. Their mother
is Imaghoka,AKA Jameschik lunnabaka, and they are
listed as Betty "Betsey" Moore, Martha Moore, and a
brother, Haschalahurittibbi, who has a guardian Rene Logan.
I have a copy of the document somewhere but can't find it
right now.
Two other children are Pistikiokonary and Running Deer by
mother ?Chmoy. Running Deer married Joseph "Jack"
Anderson Jun3,1797 in GA. He went home with Pushmataha
to heal of wounds suffered in the Battle of New Orleans and
later married his daughter.
Another son was by the name of Mingo Johnson Pushmataha
not sure who is mother was. He moved to Oklahama with
Chief Nitakechi at age 15; attended Choctaw Academy in
Kentucky and became an attorney for Pushmataha District
in Oklahoma for Choctaw Nation. His original name was
Mingo but he became known as Johnson Pushmataha. He
and his wife, Anna, were granted a divorce July 27,1853
(Indians and Intruders, Vol III).
